The second important pillar of faith is belief in the Angels of Allah. The subject of the Angels of Allah is extremely subtle and profound, and due to a lack of correct understanding and comprehension of it, various nations and religions of the world have fallen into shirk (associating partners with God). Despite the fact that the existence of angels is included in the fundamentals of faith and the basic principles of Islam, Muslims, too, have generally paid very little attention to understanding their true nature. Hazrat Mirza Bashir-ud-Din Mahmood Ahmad, Khalifatul Masih II, the Promised Reformer (may Allah be pleased with him), delivered a soul-inspiring address on the subject of the Angels of Allah, filled with heavenly insights and truths, on the blessed occasion of the Jalsa Salana Qadian on 28th and 29th December 1920. In his address, Huzoor, in light of the Holy Qur’an, explained the reality and necessity of the Angels of Allah, their various types, their duties and services, presented proofs for the existence of angels, and responded in detail and with reason to doubts, objections, misconceptions, and misunderstandings related to them.

Belief in Angels of Allah

The belief in the angels of Allah is the second important pillar of faith. The concept of angels is extremely delicate and precise. Due to the lack of correct understanding, various nations and religions in the world are engulfed in polytheism. Despite the inclusion of angels in the beliefs and fundamental principles of Islam, Muslims also pay very little attention to knowing the reality of angels. Hazrat Mirza Bashir-ud-Din Mahmud Ahmad, Khalifatul Masih II (may Allah be pleased with him), delivered a spiritually uplifting discourse on the subject of angels of Allah on the blessed occasion of the annual gathering in Qadian on 28th and 29th December 1920. This discourse, filled with heavenly insights and truths, is being supervised for publication by the Publishing Department in Qadian, ensuring its dissemination. His Holiness has shed light on a very profound and precise subject in a very eloquent and insightful manner. In this discourse, he has presented detailed and well-reasoned answers, dispelling doubts, objections, misconceptions, and illusions related to the reality, necessity, types, duties, and services of angels, as well as addressing misconceptions about angels. With the permission and approval of His Holiness, the Fifth Khalifa of the Promised Messiah, Qadian is publishing this enlightening discourse for the general benefit for the first time in book form after composing it. All praise is due to Allah.

Angels of Allah

Speech Delivered by: Hadhrat Fazl Omar, Khalifatul Masih II (may Allah be pleased with him) (Delivered at the annual gathering in Masjid Tour on 28th December 1920)

I bear witness that there is no god but Allah, alone, without any partner, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His servant and messenger.

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

All praise is due to Allah, Lord of all the worlds, the Most Merciful, the Most Compassionate, Master of the Day of Judgment. You alone we worship, and You alone we ask for help. Guide us on the straight path, the path of those who have received Your grace; not the path of those who have brought down wrath upon themselves, nor of those who have gone astray.

The method of remembering things

In previous sessions, I have also advised and counseled you that for those who especially want to remember or understand something, a highly effective method is also this:

Page 7

Angels of Allah

It is advisable to write things down because the human brain is designed by Allah in such a way that the more senses are involved in learning something, the more securely it is retained. The impact on the brain of something that is learned through multiple senses will be less compared to that which is learned through friendships. And when a person not only listens to something but also writes it down, two powers are expended. Moreover, in terms of the fact that his attention is also focused on it, and in terms of the fact that his volitional power will be more enthusiastic, it will have a deeper effect on his brain. Yes, it is not the writing that journalists do because the burden of writing on them is so heavy that they cannot remember it. Since they have to write for others, they make an effort to memorize every word as much as possible. But since others write summaries, they can focus on it. And when they write after focusing on it, that thing cannot escape their memory, and as they write, their attention is drawn to it, and thus that thing becomes more securely stored in their memory. This is why our elders used to be cautious about this matter that when they taught lessons, they did not allow the listeners to sit without paper and pen. It is written that Imam Malik used to give lessons, and Imam Shafi'i came to his lesson. Imam Malik used to live in Madinah, and Imam Shafi'i came from Makkah. His age was also young, meaning he was thirteen years old. When they sat in his lesson for two to three days and saw that he did not have paper and pen, Imam Malik asked him, "Why do you sit here without paper and pen?" Imam Malik felt bad that when he came to the lesson, why didn't he write? Imam Shafi'i had such a memory that whatever he heard, he remembered. He said he came to read.

Page 8

Imam Malik said, "Then why don't you write?" He replied, "Whatever I hear, I remember." Imam Malik said, "Very well, recite what I have taught." He recited. Imam Malik's other students say that they did not let any mistakes slip into their memory, but they recited accurately. However, not everyone can have such a memory. Therefore, it is advisable to work in a way that compensates for the weakness of memory. And that is that whatever is heard should be noted down personally. This also benefits in that a person remembers it by looking at it repeatedly. Full attention should be paid while listening. After that, I advise you once again that while listening, full attention should be given to the subject matter because understanding and comprehending a scientific matter is not easy. For this, until full attention is given, a person, after listening, pays attention to the empty pot as he heard it. The attention is as empty as the pot was. Harsh words have been used in the Holy Quran regarding such people, but since it is an example, I state: "They come to you, [O Muhammad], as if they are a people of [innocent] haste." (Quran, 63:4) They come to the gathering of the Prophet, but they do not listen to what is being said. What kind of conversations are happening? Therefore, they ask each other. The real point is that when a person sits in a gathering where religious matters are discussed, Satan diverts his attention somewhere so that the person takes no benefit from those discussions.

The Quranic verse uses harsh words about such people, but since it is an example, I state: "They come to you, [O Muhammad], as if they are a people of [innocent] haste." (Quran, 63:4) They come to the gathering of the Prophet, but they do not listen to what is being said. What kind of conversations are happening? Therefore, they ask each other.

Some people cannot rise and stumble. Many people sit in gatherings but do not pay attention to what is being said. And sometimes when asked what was said, they reply that it was very enjoyable but they don't remember what was said. Such people do not benefit because they were not paying attention but were busy praising and enjoying others' praises. So, whatever is said, listen carefully and attentively. Those who have writing materials and are accustomed to writing should write. Yes, those who are not used to writing should write so that they do not forget. Those who have the habit of writing should keep writing. I say this because sometimes due to illness or some reason, speeches cannot be published quickly, and the notes made here are erased from the heart, but those who have written themselves can refresh their memory by looking at what they have written. Last year, a significant discourse was delivered on an important issue that is part of faith but due to certain reasons, that discourse could not be published quickly and now it is published. Whoever reads it will find it a new topic, but those who have taken notes will have benefited greatly. The importance of the topic

The current topic is also very important and is part of the fundamental principles and beliefs of Islam and is an extremely delicate topic. The issue of destiny was difficult, but since attention is paid to it both generally and specifically, understanding it was easy due to this attention and involvement. However, this

Page 10

The issue is that despite being part of faith, people do not pay attention to it. "Destiny" is such a well-known term that whenever someone suffers a loss, they attribute it to destiny. Since the term "destiny" was repeatedly mentioned in this discourse, attention was maintained, and because people generally ask what destiny is, there was also a desire to listen to what was said about it. However, the topic that will be discussed today, although included in beliefs, does not come before people repeatedly, and they do not know or understand why it has been included in beliefs. Therefore, special attention needs to be paid to it. This issue is about the existence of angels. Believing in angels is part of faith. If a person does not believe in angels, whether in books, messengers, or the Hereafter, they cannot be a Muslim; they will remain a disbeliever. Just as the one who denies the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) will be a disbeliever, similarly, the one who denies Gabriel will also be a disbeliever. And just as the one who denies the books of Allah will be a disbeliever, similarly, the one who denies angels will also be a disbeliever. And just as the one who does not believe in the Resurrection and Judgment will be a disbeliever, similarly, the one who does not believe in angels will also be a disbeliever. Unfortunately, Muslims have paid very little attention to angels. What are angels? Why has their existence been mentioned? What benefit is gained from believing in them? They do not know. The Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) said,

Page 11

Angels of Allah

The benefit of believing in the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and the Holy Quran is that it guides towards good deeds, enabling a person to attain higher spiritual levels. Believing in the Day of Judgment benefits by instilling fear, leading to the abandonment of sins and the performance of righteous deeds, knowing that on the Day of Judgment, evil deeds will be punished and good deeds rewarded. Believing in Allah also has evident benefits as He is the Provider, Creator, Merciful, and Generous, and by believing in His attributes, one can derive benefits from them. But what about the angels who are believed in? What is the benefit of believing in them?

Common People's Belief in Angels

Generally, when it comes to people's belief in angels, think about what would happen if they were denied? Everyone should ponder that if I speak about the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), then will his teachings diminish if he is denied? If I speak about the Quran, saying it is not the word of God, will it affect its teachings? But if I say that angels do not exist, what harm will come? People's belief in angels is so low that if it is denied, there will be no decrease in their current faith, and due to their belief, there will be no increase in their faith either. However, this signifies that it is a very significant issue of faith. The benefits of believing in angels are immense, and the losses of abandoning it are also significant. Not just saying verbally that such and such is the case,

Once we believe, it is sufficient. Otherwise, there is no benefit in believing, nor any loss in denial. In this way, we also believe in the Himalayas, but since there is no benefit in believing in the Himalayas and no loss in denying it, it has not been included in faith. However, believing in angels has been included in faith for a significant benefit in believing and no loss in denial. Why believe in angels?

It is a very crucial question why we should believe in angels? What is our connection with them? What benefit do we derive from them? If we do not benefit from them, then why believe in them? If someone says that angels brought teachings to the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him), should we believe in them? It can be argued, what relevance do they have to us? If we do not know that their knowledge came through revelation, what will be the impact on our faith and actions? If it is assumed that Allah Almighty directly revealed His words to the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him), then there will be no problem. There will be no decrease in the Quran due to this. Then why are angels' existence insisted upon? And why is it insisted upon so strongly that if not believed, one does not remain a Muslim but becomes a disbeliever? Due to such thoughts, this topic is difficult and perhaps bland for many, and their attention may not be focused because angels are something that is not visible, and apparently, there seems to be no connection with them. The issue of destiny was also difficult, but when

It was commonly believed that God did not decree punishment for anyone through destiny and it was not such that a person could not escape punishment. Due to the thoughts that were generally spread about destiny, which seemed burdensome, they were removed, and because of this, attention was drawn towards this issue, and people listened carefully. However, since angels were considered irrelevant and their necessity was not understood, perhaps attention was not there. Then, because of the general lack of interest in angels, common authors did not write anything about them. They did not understand their significance. Although people can benefit greatly from them if they become known, people read books that mention them with interest. Sufis have mentioned them, and they have been discussed in their writings, but even then, they have been mentioned very little. And if someone has spoken the most about them after the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him), it is the Promised Messiah. And you have indeed uncovered the secrets of their reality. The Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) and the Promised Messiah are the ones who have opened up about them. The Holy Quran has revealed their reality, or their mention is in the words of the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him). Their mention is also in the sayings of other Sufis, but very little. And other authors have not even mentioned them. They have narrated stories about ordinary things, but regarding angels, they passed by so quietly as if it was nothing. The reason for this is that expressing their reality was a very difficult task, and there was no power to express it. But now, since the time has come to uncover the reality of everything so that no one dares to attack anyone on any issue, God Almighty has created such means that the reality of angels is being revealed.

Nowadays, the same angels of Islam have become a topic of discussion. A few days ago, an Arya stated that Muslims are becoming skeptical of Islam, and as proof of this, it has been presented that Syed Amir Ali Sahib, who is a Muslim, wrote that angels are a mere illusion with no reality. There is no doubt that in the minds of today's Muslims, the angels are considered illusory because they have no idea what angels are. What is the need to believe in them? What are their benefits? But as I mentioned earlier, whatever is part of faith is not baseless; it has immense benefits. Therefore, since this is such a significant topic that is not appealing to the general public, special attention needs to be paid to it. Angels are also objected to due to new teachings, but by the grace of Allah Almighty, we can prove them and establish them just as many things are proven that are not visible to the naked eye. And we can provide such evidence about angels that anyone can understand, provided the blindfold of bias is not on their eyes. Are there no angels?

Nowadays, due to the influence of new teachings, a notion has arisen among Muslims that angels are not necessary. But we can, by the grace of Allah, prove them just like many other things that are unseen. And we can prove them in a way that everyone can understand, provided their eyes are not blinded by prejudice. Are there no angels?

Angels of Allah

There is no existence of angels; rather, the power that was generated in the heart of Muhammad (peace be upon him) has been named as angels. And the names Gabriel or Michael were given to make their conversations more impactful. However, we see that the existence of angels has been acknowledged with such emphasis that if any issue arises with abundance, it is attributed to angels after Allah Almighty. Even from the conditions of the wildest nations, it is evident that they believed in angels. Many religions whose teachings are not found in the world today still show traces of angels from ancient times, and in the existing religions, their mention is made with utmost clarity. Among other religions, the mention of angels is most pronounced in the Zoroastrian religion. It is regrettable for me to admit with sorrow that Muslims have not done the same. Those people have elaborated on angels with great detail. After them, come the Jews. They are on the second level because their religion is relatively new, and no significant time has passed on it, and its preservation has also been to a certain extent. Even in their teachings, there is much information about angels. Then come the Hindus. Although their religion is very ancient, they also acknowledge angels. Nowadays, people are skeptical about them due to new teachings.

The mention of angels is found in the ancient scriptures of China, Egypt, and Greece. Even in the remnants and proverbs of wild nations whose names are unknown, traces of angels can be discerned. In some places, it is mentioned that there is a creature with wings that punishes humans. And in some instances, there are images that are thousands of years old where winged figures are descending from above. These discussions indicate that the concept of angels was present among them. The belief in angels is found in all nations, most prominently among the Zoroastrians, then descending to the Jews, followed by the Hindus. Angels are also found among other ancient nations and even among Christians, to the extent that Paul raised the question of whether their worship is permissible. This shows that it was a teaching that had an impact on all hearts. Just as one can say by observing the faith of every nation in God that from the beginning, all people have believed in God, and this is evidence of the existence of God. Similarly, when nations whose civilizations do not intersect, whose cultures have no connection with each other, all believe in angels, it is a strong proof of the existence of angels. In the Zoroastrian religion, the mention of angels is peculiar. In Zoroastrianism, the names of angels are mentioned, and they are

Angels of Allah

The angels of Allah are names that are closely related to each other and their tasks are intertwined. It is believed that there are two gods: one of darkness and one of light. The god of light weakens the god of darkness. It is said that a time will come when the god of darkness will weaken, and the god of goodness will be victorious, and generally, they call the god of goodness Yazdan and the god of evil Ahura Mazda. This means the man of darkness. It is evident from this name that there were no devils but gods. However, they say that in comparison to God, this is the god of evil and it is he who commits evil deeds. In the religious language of the Zoroastrians, they call the great angels "Amesha Spentas," which means immortal. It is understood from this that their belief was that angels are immortal. Just as the human soul is preserved from annihilation, they also believe that they have been granted eternal life. The Zoroastrians believe that angels are the source of all goodness and the fountainhead of religion and fundamentally, they are manifestations of Allah Almighty. They believe that angels have reached their current status after thousands of years of progress. And they consider angels to be not lifeless pearls that are opaque to our eyes but they are beneficial to us. They cannot be called jewels because that would be disrespectful to them. They are not flowers hanging on trees but they are like stars revolving around the sun. They are not ornaments for God but they are manifestations of His essence. In Zoroastrian books, the name of the greatest angel is written as "Dohmaanah."

And Hashata Manah is also called. Meaning the best angel. According to both names, it is understood that Hashata Manah is actually Gabriel. It is known from Zoroastrian books that human intellect receives light through this angel. Indeed, Zoroaster had prayed to Allah Almighty to show him the light and inspiration, and eventually, he met Hashata Manah. All good deeds come from this angel, and those who do not accept the movements of this angel, this angel leaves them. The second angel is familiar to the Zoroastrians. Meaning the angel of piety. Outwardly, fire is the symbol of Asha because fire is produced from heat and piety is produced from light. It is known that this angel is Michael because Michael is the angel of worldly progress and a sign of worldly advancement. Besides these two angels, there are five great angels believed in, and the count of lesser angels is countless. The wings of the great angels are all about arrangement, and it is believed that angels always have a positive influence on the human heart so that Satan cannot penetrate it. And they say that birth is from God and death is from Satan. Due to this reason, they believe that since birth is from God, a human is born good, and angels protect him, but Satan teaches evil. If a human accepts his words, angels leave him because now

there is no benefit in protecting him. They believe that since birth is from God, a human is born good, and angels protect him, but Satan teaches evil. If a human accepts his words, angels leave him because now there is no benefit in protecting him. But if he does not accept Satan's teachings, then angels protect him. This is why they believe that since birth is from God, a human is born good, and angels protect him, but Satan teaches evil. If a human accepts his words, angels leave him because now there is no benefit in protecting him. But if he does not accept Satan's teachings, then angels protect him.

The servant of Satan has become bound.14

It is believed that a confrontation between God and Satan will continue until the birth of a prophet from the Iranian lineage, and his name will also be Moses, i.e., a prophet will come with the name of the Blessed Messiah from the offspring of Zoroaster. But not from physical offspring because it is written that he will be born from a wife who has not borne any children. In his time, there will be a final battle with Satan. He will implore God Almighty that the battle is very formidable, so send down angels. Upon this plea, God Almighty will send down angels. Satan, exhausted from the continuous confrontation, will tire out. At that time, the prophet will launch a final attack with the help of angels, and a perilous battle will ensue in which Satan will be defeated. He will be captured and killed. After this, peace will prevail, and this world will expand greatly so that no one can die because Satan, who is associated with death, will have perished. It is evident that these statements are from a prophet because they have proven true and are coming to fruition. Moses also (blessed and peace be upon him) came and brought the same signs that were mentioned. Then this matter has also been mentioned by other prophets that there will be a final battle with Satan. Therefore, it is happening now. Efforts are being made in various ways to divert people from religion and make them abandon God. In response, efforts are being made to reunite people with God, and this is an extremely perilous battle. Then the plea made to the angels from the heavens also turned out to be correct. Thus, the advent of the Promised Messiah

It is a revelation that you have asked Allah for a hundred thousand angels, and Allah Almighty has said that five thousand are sufficient, more than that. Since the mention of more than five thousand angels is found in the Quran, it turned out to be true. Detailed accounts of the actions of angels are found in Zoroastrianism. They have faced challenges, but their books contain such content that if Islam were to leave, it would be the Zoroastrian religion that describes angels. The mention of angels is found in the Jewish religion. Angels are called Gabriel, the angel of fire, but they consider it a mistake. Because this name is found among Zoroastrians first and later among Jews, and it came after their exile from Iran. Since they took this name from the Jews, they consider him the angel of mercy and the bearer of revelation. Therefore, calling him the angel of fire is incorrect. Furthermore, in the Bible, we also see that he is designated as the angel of mercy. It is mentioned in the Talmud that during the time of Prophet Daniel, the people who were thrown into the fire were saved by Gabriel. It is written that when people tried to throw Prophet Abraham into the fire, it was Gabriel who saved him. Thus, it is written that instead of the word "angel," the term "army" is used in the account.

There is no doubt that their connection is with the sun. Just as in Islam, the connection of the sun is mentioned with Gabriel. Similarly, the Promised Messiah has also written that his connection is with the sun. The connection of Gabriel is with the Noble Messenger, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, and the Noble Messenger, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, is called the sun in the Quran. The Promised Messiah was accused of denying angels. The discussion about angels in Islam is about the essence and mirror of perfection, and you have proven from the Quran that the connection of angels is with celestial bodies, and through them, their influences fall in the world. Scholars have raised doubts about this, that you deny angels and believe in the influences of stars. A decree of disbelief has been issued against you. The subject of stars is a separate subject. I do not want to elaborate on it now because the discussion might deviate. I want to mention at the outset that the concept of angels is found in all religions, and in Islam, where hundreds of polytheistic beliefs were refuted, the belief in angels was established, and it was established with such strength that if they were not accepted, a person would become an infidel. And Islam has done such a favor on all religions that just as the objections on the prophets were refuted to the extent they were raised, similarly, the objections on angels were also refuted. The Zoroastrians and Jews believe that angels also fall into Satan's trap, and in their imitation, Muslims have the story of Harut and Marut, two angels.

It is understood that due to being ensnared in Satan's trap, they are hanging upside down in some well of Babylon.15

It is believed that angels are creatures who do not disobey the command of Allah Almighty. It is stated in the Quran: "They do not disobey Allah in what He commands them and do as they are commanded."1 Now, when it is known that the concept of angels is such a significant matter that it is mentioned in the books of all religions, and it is evident from the Quran that this concept is so ancient that it was also found during the time of Prophet Noah. The opponents of Prophet Noah said, as Allah Almighty narrates: "And the eminent among his people who disbelieved said, 'This is not but a man like yourselves who wishes to take precedence over you. And if Allah had willed [to send a messenger], He would have sent down angels. We have not heard of this among our forefathers."2 This means that even in the time of Prophet Noah, the concept of angels existed.

The Noble Messenger, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, also faced objections regarding this matter.

"And if you are truthful, why do you not bring us angels?" (Surah Al-Hijr: 8)

It is known that even among the Arabs, the concept of angels existed. After this brief mention, I will now turn towards Islamic teachings and explain what Islam has taught about angels.

The Reality of Angels

The first question is whether angels are creatures or not? Because the level given to them suggests that angels are not creatures. Hence, Christians have been deceived, and they have understood that the Holy Spirit is not a creature but a part of God, and he has also been made God. But Islam says that angels being non-creatures is a lie. They are creatures. Therefore, the proof of angels being creatures is found in the Noble Quran. Allah Almighty says, "And We did certainly create the angels as witnesses." (Surah As-Saffat: 151)

Does this mean that when the angels were created, were they present there? Saying that angels are girls?

It is understood that Allah Almighty created the angels. Yes, another point is whether they will perish or not? Just as human souls will be preserved, angels will not perish, or will they all perish, or will some perish and some remain.

It is believed by the Jews that when revelation descends, thousands of angels are created from the movement generated by the words of revelation, but then they perish. However, Zoroastrian angels are considered immortal beings. Another point to consider about angels is that they are such spiritual creatures that a person cannot see their original form with their physical eyes. And if seen through those eyes, angels will not be in their original existence. Allah Almighty says: "And if We had made him an angel, We would have made him [appear as] a man, and We would have covered them with that in which they cover themselves." (Surah Al-An'am: 9)

People question why angels do not descend. But if an angel were to descend, it would come in the form of a human. Then they would see and the doubt would remain whether it is an angel or a human. And the doubts they are raising now will still persist that this speech is not from God but from human creation. So angels are not sent down because they are hidden beings not visible to the physical eyes. The third point to remember about them is that they are such creatures that are neither male nor female. This fact is evident from the verse I previously read that indeed We have created them male and female. (Surah Al-An'am: 9)

Original source:View on Alislam.org
Page 26

Angels of Allah

"And We did certainly create the angels as witnesses." (Surah As-Saffat: 151) Here Allah Almighty did not say that they are men. Rather, it is said that they say angels are females. What do they know what they are? Were they present when Allah created the angels? Allah Almighty denied their being females but did not say they are males. So calling them males or females is incorrect. This is related to material things. In spiritual matters, there is no concept of male and female. It is not that the soul of a man is male and the soul of a woman is female. Male and female are related to the container, not what is inside. The fourth point about angels is that they have three levels. They are not all of the same kind. Thus, Allah Almighty says: "Those [angels] who carry the Throne and those around it exalt [Allah] with praise of their Lord and believe in Him and ask forgiveness for those who have believed, [saying], 'Our Lord, You have encompassed all things in mercy and knowledge, so forgive those who have repented and followed Your way and protect them from the punishment of Hellfire.'" (Surah Al-Mu'minun: 8)

This verse indicates three types of angels. Two types of angels are indicated by Al-Qasas and the third type by Ash-Shu'ara. Because it is mentioned that there are angels who lift the Throne and angels who surround the Throne. Meaning, there are angels who issue divine commands through them. And there are angels who act as their deputies and take their commands to the lower level. And from this statement, it is understood that there is another class of angels who are below those angels who reside around the Throne. And this is also confirmed by Hadiths because it is known from them that some angels are appointed over different objects. So, there are bearers of the Throne.

Angels of Allah

The Throne and those around it have a third type of angels. Even in Zoroastrianism, some understanding of this matter is evident. They claim that there are seven angels who manage the affairs of the world. The Quran states that on the Day of Resurrection, eight angels will lift the Throne of God. The Throne signifies not silver or gold but the highest attributes that manifest the divinity of Allah. In the next world, they will be manifested through eight angels, but in this world, as proven by reasoning, they are manifested through seven angels. So, there are angels who lift the Throne of God, and there are others who are lower but are close to Allah and are like assistants. Their main task is not to support them but to assist them, and the third type is those of lower rank. Therefore, there are three types of angels:

  1. Those who manifest the attributes of Allah.
  2. Those who are assistants and close to Allah.
  3. Those appointed for various minor tasks.

The determination of their number is not possible because Allah says: "And none knows the soldiers of your Lord except Him." (Surah Al-Muddaththir: 31) No human can estimate them. As proven by the words of the prophets, it is evident that each task has a separate angel. The fifth point that becomes clear is that angels are such creatures that they cannot commit evil. In contrast, humans have the potential to even deny God, and there are those who do so.

Original source:View on Alislam.org
Page 28

Angels of Allah

They curse God. But it is evident from the Quran that angels are such creatures that they do not have the power of evil, and their scope of action is limited compared to humans. Humans break limits, but for angels, the limits set are unbreakable. Thus, Allah Almighty says: "They do not disobey Allah in what He commands them and do as they are commanded." (Surah At-Tahrim: 6)

Another point is that not only do angels not disobey the commands of Allah but there is a substance in them that they fulfill the commands given to them completely. Disobedience occurs when there is an inability to fulfill a command completely. For example, if a weak person is told to lift something, but due to their weakness, they cannot lift it, it will not be said that they disobeyed the command. However, if a person capable of lifting refuses to do so, that would be disobedience. Regarding the angels, Allah Almighty says that they have the capability to do the tasks assigned to them individually, meaning they all have the power to do it. They are not like humans, where some have the ability to fulfill a command and some do not. As Allah says: "And do as they are commanded." (Surah An-Nahl: 51)

They fulfill what is commanded to them. Humans do not have this state. Sometimes, a person desires to do a task but cannot. For example, they may want to stand and pray but if they are sick, they cannot do so.

Angels of Allah

Twenty-fourth point regarding angels is that it is understood that they do not accept the influence of their surroundings. Other creatures, even forcefully, accept the influence. Yes, it happens that they accept some influences and reject others. For example, the prophets accept the influence of goodness. Or when there is a fight and they get involved, they will also be affected by human aspects, but the prophets are protected from evil influences. However, angels are preserved in every situation. Thus, Allah Almighty says: "Over it are angels, harsh and severe." (Surah At-Tahrim: 6) The nature of angels is such that nothing can influence them. However, they are given the power to influence what they are commanded to. This power is not present in humans. Some qualities are present in humans, and some are not. That is, some attributes are also present in humans, but not in their entirety. Thus, Allah says:

"Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah; and those with him are forceful against the disbelievers, merciful among themselves." (Surah Al-Fath: 29)

Believers are also forceful but against disbelievers. They accept each other's influence. Similarly, it is stated:

"O Prophet, strive against the disbelievers and the hypocrites and be harsh upon them." (Surah At-Tawbah: 73)

O Prophet! Struggle against disbelievers and hypocrites but do not accept their influence. Believers, on the other hand, accept each other's influence but do not accept the influence of others. This is seen in some matters. And angels, on the other hand, are such that they never accept any influence.

Angels of Allah

The ninth point is that the number of angels is unlimited for humans. Allah says: "And none knows the soldiers of your Lord except Him." (Surah Al-Muddaththir: 31) Only Allah knows the number of angels, and no one can estimate it. The ninth point also reveals that there are leaders and followers among them. It is not that one is big and the other small, but they are all independent in their work and position. In one place, Allah says: "Say, 'The angel of death will take you who has been entrusted with you. Then to your Lord you will be returned.'" (Surah As-Sajdah: 11) It means that your soul will be taken by the angel of death, whose task is to extract your soul. Then you will be returned to your Lord. In another place, it is stated: "And if you could but see when the wrongdoers are in the overwhelming pangs of death while the angels extend their hands, [saying], 'Discharge your souls! Today you will be awarded the punishment of [extreme] humiliation for what you used to say against Allah other than the truth and [that] you were, toward His verses, being arrogant.'" (Surah Al-An'am: 93)

It means that if you could see the moment when the wrongdoers are in the agony of death, and the angels are stretching out their hands towards them, saying, "Take out your souls today, you will be given the punishment of disgrace. This is because of your false statements against Allah and your arrogance towards His signs."

It is stated: "Indeed, those whom the angels take [in death] while wronging themselves, [the angels] will say, 'In what [condition] were you?' They will say, 'We were oppressed in the land.' The angels will say, 'Was not the earth of Allah spacious [enough] for you to emigrate therein?' For those, their refuge is Hell - and evil it is as a destination." (Surah An-Nisa: 98)

This verse highlights that when the angels extract the souls of those who wronged themselves, the angels will question them about their state. The wrongdoers will admit their oppression on earth. The angels will then question why they did not seek refuge in the vast land of Allah. Their ultimate abode will be Hell, a dreadful destination.

Combining these three verses, it is evident that the task of extracting souls is entrusted to a single angel. However, the other two verses indicate that many angels are involved in extracting souls. This implies that while one angel is assigned the task, numerous other angels assist in carrying out the command. When the organization of the angelic hierarchy in the context of death is observed, it can be inferred that various tasks are executed through angels. There are chief angels overseeing significant duties, and beneath them, a group of angels work in obedience to them. Moreover, the same analogy can be applied to other matters that are carried out through angels. It is known from various sources that all affairs are conducted through angels. Some are of higher rank, like the bearers of the Throne, and others are of lower rank who carry out various tasks through divine commands. The comparison of human abilities with those of angels reveals that while humans have the potential for advancement, angels remain constant in their capabilities. As Allah states: "And He taught Adam the names - all of them. Then He showed them to the angels and said, 'Inform Me of the names of these, if you are truthful.' They said, 'Exalted are You; we have no knowledge except what You have taught us. Indeed, it is You who is the Knowing, the Wise.'" (Surah Al-Baqarah: 32-33)

Original source:View on Alislam.org

Allah taught Adam all the names and presented them before the angels, saying, "Inform Me of the names of these if you are truthful." The angels replied, "Exalted are You; we have no knowledge except what You have taught us. Indeed, You are the Knowing, the Wise." Then Allah asked Adam to inform the names, and he did. In response to this, I would like to answer the question as to why Allah did not reveal the names Himself and why He asked Adam to do so. The wisdom behind this is that if Allah had revealed the names Himself, all qualities would have been manifested in them. Allah told Hazrat Adam to inform the names, meaning they should be recognized by him. The power of angels is limited compared to humans, but they carry out what they do under the command and will of Allah. They cannot disobey in any way. The eleventh point becomes clear that angels have intentions but they are very limited. An example of this is like putting a long rope around a horse's neck and tying it with a banana so that it keeps moving but cannot go beyond that circle. Angels also move around a center and cannot go beyond that limit. Their limit is that they do not disobey Allah in what He commands them and do as they are commanded. They cannot go beyond this limit. The intentions of angels are evident from the statement related to Hazrat Adam: "Will You place upon it one who causes corruption therein and sheds blood?" (Surah Al-Baqarah: 31) They asked Allah to explain to them why Adam would cause corruption in the world.

They will commit evil and shed blood. What arrangement will be made for this? Asking this question indicates that there is an intention to a certain extent in them that neither goes towards evil nor surpasses goodness. However, it is only evident from this verse that they asked. It is possible that Allah inspired them to ask, so they asked. Firstly, it is incorrect to say that they asked based on Allah's command because further, Allah says, "If you are truthful, then tell the names." It is understood from this that their question was not under Allah's command. Then in the narrations, we read such things that reveal the intentions of angels. For example, a person went to a scholar and said, "I have committed so many sins, can I repent?" The scholar replied, "Your repentance is not accepted." He killed him, then went to another person, intending to repent, but died on the way. Upon this, the angels of paradise said, "We will take him to paradise because he had intended to repent, and the angels of hell said, 'We will take him to hell because he died before repenting.'" (Muslim, Book of Repentance, Chapter: Acceptance of Repentance of a Killer and the Multiplicity of Killers) From this, it is understood that angels have intentions. Then from this verse, it is also evident. Allah says: "I had no knowledge of the exalted assembly when they were disputing." (Surah Sad: 70) I had no knowledge of the state of the discussion when the angels were arguing among themselves. It is understood from this that they also argue with each other. So, intention is found in them.

Angels of Allah

The twelfth point about angels is that they are extremely limited. The twelfth point reveals that angels are not knowledgeable of the unseen because Allah says: "And [mention] the Day when He will gather them all and then say to the angels, 'Did these [people] used to worship you?' They will say, 'Exalted are You! You, [O Allah], are our benefactor not them. Rather, they used to worship the jinn; most of them were believers in them." (Surah Saba: 41-42)

On that day when Allah will gather them all and ask the angels if these people used to worship them, the angels will respond in awe of Allah, clarifying that they were not worshipped but rather the jinn were worshipped, and most people believed in them. This verse indicates that angels do not possess knowledge of the unseen. If they had knowledge of the unseen, they would not have denied worship, as baseless questioning is a form of falsehood, and Allah's essence is pure. It cannot be said that Allah had questioned without reason, as unnecessary questioning also becomes a form of lie, and Allah's essence is pure. Insights from previous books indicate that some people were inclined towards the worship of angels. Hence, it becomes apparent that due to lack of knowledge, some angels may deny certain matters. Some narrations also shed light on the intentions of angels. For instance, a believer is called a believer because they act like one. When their deeds are presented by the recording angels before Allah, they are taken to Allah's presence. For example, when a person prays and the angels present this act before Allah, a voice is heard from the heavens saying:

"This person is called a believer and acts like one. Take his deeds to Allah's presence."

Angels take the deeds of the believer to Allah's presence. This indicates that angels have intentions. Additionally, it is evident from this verse. Allah states: "I had no knowledge of the exalted assembly when they were disputing." (Surah Sad: 70) This verse signifies that angels also engage in disputes among themselves. Therefore, intentions are present within them.

Take him back and strike him on his face. He did not offer this prayer for my sake. It is evident that angels do not have knowledge of the unseen; if they did, they would not have taken such a prayer that was acceptable. The thirteenth point becomes clear that different things have different angels. It is mentioned in narrations that Hazrat Aisha asked the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) if he had ever experienced more pain than the Day of Uhud. He replied, "Yes. When I saw the denial of the people of Makkah, I turned my attention towards the tribe of 'Abdul-Ashhal, but they did not pay attention to me and rejected my message. I stood aside, feeling extremely sad, without any specific direction. Along the way, I saw a cloud from which Gabriel appeared to me and said, 'Allah Almighty has commanded the angel of the mountain to obey your orders.' Upon this, the angel of the mountain greeted me and said, 'Do you wish me to crush them (the people of Makkah) between the two mountains?' Meaning, causing an earthquake to destroy them. I replied, 'No, I hope that from their offspring, those who will worship Allah alone will be born.' (Al-Bidayah wa al-Nihayah, Vol. 3, pp. 135-137, Beirut Edition, 1966)

From this narration, it is understood that Gabriel informed the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) that the complete name of this angel was 'Abdul-Ashhal bin 'Amr bin 'Umair, who was one of the leaders of the tribe of Banu Saqifah.

Original source:View on Alislam.org
Page 36

Angels of Allah

It is said that Allah commanded the angel of the mountain to assist. The angel replied, "I have not come to help for my sake." This indicates that the angel of the mountain was distinct, and angels for different purposes are appointed separately. The fourteenth point reveals that angels manifest different divine attributes. Some exhibit a single power, while others show multiple powers. Allah states: "Praise be to Allah, Creator of the heavens and the earth, who made the angels messengers having wings, two or three or four. He increases in creation what He wills. Indeed, Allah is over all things competent." (Surah Fatir: 1)

All praises are for Allah, who created the heavens and the earth, and appointed angels as messengers with wings, some with two, three, or four wings. He increases in creation as He wills. Indeed, Allah has power over all things. This verse indicates that different angels manifest different divine attributes. Some possess singular attributes, while others have multiple attributes. It is also known that angels are sent according to the requirements of each time. They are dispatched with the abilities needed for that era. Angels were sent to people with capabilities matching their inclinations. When the world reached its full extent, Allah sent Gabriel in his complete form to the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). The Prophet mentioned that Gabriel had six hundred wings, which indicated his complete name was Abdul-Ashhal bin Amr bin Umair, a leader of the Banu Saqifah tribe.

Original source:View on Alislam.org
Page 37

Angels of Allah

It is incorrect to say that Allah's attributes are limited, then how did these six hundred attributes manifest? Allah has countless attributes, and only six hundred are those related to humans. Hazrat Messiah Ma'ud has written a very delicate point that the knowledge of the Holy Quran was more than that of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) with Gabriel, and this is absolutely correct. The reason is that other angels were also in agreement with you, and they were the angels of the other attributes of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). So it became known that angels manifest different attributes. And it is not about wings but about the attributes found in them. These are the things from which an estimate can be made about the nature of angels. From this statement, some of the qualities of the angel can also be understood with the word 'kingdom'. Now, I will explain their tasks. The work of angels is that they bring the divine word. Thus, Allah says: "Allah chooses from the angels messengers and from the people." (Surah Al-Hajj: 75)

Allah selects messengers from the angels and humans. It is understood from this that one of the tasks of angels is to convey the divine word. Another task is the extraction of souls by angels. As Allah says: "And Allah chooses from the angels messengers and from the people." (Surah Al-Hajj: 75)

Say, "The Angel of Death will take you who has been entrusted with you. Then to your Lord you will be returned." (Surah As-Sajdah: 12)

The third task of angels is that they punish the wicked who challenge them. When angels confront the wicked, a magnetic force is generated that causes the wicked to burn. Just as petrol catches fire when exposed to a flame, the wicked are like petrol, and angels are like fire. When they come into contact, the wicked burn, and when they approach them, they destroy them. Thus, Allah says: "Do they await but that the angels should come to them or your Lord should come or that there come some of the signs of your Lord?" (Surah Al-An'am: 159)

Do they await the coming of the angels? If they come here, they will be destroyed. They are like targets for them, and they face gunpowder. The fourth task of angels is to assist the believers. For disbelievers, they are like targets, getting close to them here causes them to burn, but the believers seek help from them, and they provide assistance. Thus, Allah says: "Indeed, those who have said, 'Our Lord is Allah' and then remained steadfast - the angels will descend upon them, [saying], 'Do not fear...'" (Surah Fussilat: 30)

Do not grieve and rejoice in the paradise you were promised. We are your allies in the worldly life and in the Hereafter. And you will have therein whatever your souls desire, and you will have therein whatever you request. (Surah As-Sajdah: 31-32)

Those who say, "Our Lord is Allah," and then remain steadfast, the angels descend upon them, saying, "Do not fear. We are your helpers in this world and in the Hereafter. And you will have therein whatever you desire, and you will have therein whatever you request." It is evident that some angels' task is to assist the believers. The fifth task becomes apparent that when angels appear, they eliminate the disbelievers and polytheists. Another task they perform is to instill fear in the hearts of people. Thus, Allah says:

"When you said to the believers, 'Is it not sufficient for you that your Lord should reinforce you with three thousand angels sent down?'" (Surah Al Imran: 125)

Is it not enough for you that your Lord reinforces you with three thousand angels sent down? Why did He mention three thousand angels? Because the enemy's army was of the same size. It is evident that these were not high-ranking angels but those who were individually linked with each human. Because He said, "Is it not enough for you that we send three thousand angels to help you?" Meaning, when you confront the enemy, they instill fear in the heart of each one. Thus,

Angels of Allah

It is narrated in Hadiths that a person came to the Noble Messenger (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and mentioned that Abu Jahl had wronged him by not paying back his due. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) took him along to Abu Jahl and asked him about the due. Abu Jahl admitted to it and agreed to pay. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) then said, "Give it to him." People then rebuked Abu Jahl, saying, "What have you done? You used to say that it is permissible to consume the wealth of Muslims, so why did you give it now?" He replied, "What do you know? At that moment, it seemed to me as if two camels were standing in front of me. If I had refused, they would have trampled me." In reality, it was fear that the angel was instilling in his heart. It is also the task of angels to instill fear. Another task of angels is to establish the divine oneness. Thus, Allah says:

"Allah bears witness that there is no deity except Him, and [so do] the angels and those of knowledge - [that He is] maintaining [creation] in justice." (Surah Al Imran: 18)

Allah also testifies to His oneness, and the angels also testify. Thus, angels provide evidence of the oneness of Allah. All angels perform tasks, but this particular task is carried out by each angel. As Allah Almighty states. Angels of Allah

The seventh task of angels is to testify to the prophets. People may accuse the prophets of falsehood, but angels continuously instill the truth in their hearts that the prophet is not false. Thus, Allah says:

"But Allah testifies to what He has revealed to you. He has revealed it with His knowledge, and the angels testify [as well]. And sufficient is Allah as Witness." (Surah An-Nisa: 166)

Allah testifies to the revelation sent to you, and the angels also testify. Angels testify in various ways. For example, they manifest the truth of the prophet in dreams. A person may be an enemy of the prophet and consider him false, but angels implant such thoughts in his heart through dreams that he accepts the prophet as true. The essence is that angels create such situations that bring goodness to a person's heart, whether it be Abu Jahl or Pharaoh. When the time for goodness arrives, they take advantage of it, and the truth of the prophet settles in the heart. It is then up to the individual to benefit from it or not. It is the task of angels to continuously instill the truth of the prophets in people's hearts.

Eight Task

The eighth task of angels is to glorify Allah. Thus, Allah says:

"And you will see the angels surrounding the Throne, exalting [Allah] with praise of their Lord." (Surah Az-Zumar: 75)
Original source:View on Alislam.org
Page 43

Angels of Allah

It is known from this that angels glorify and praise Allah. Angels of Allah The ninth task of angels is to seek forgiveness for the believers. These are specific angels. It is their duty from Allah Almighty to continuously pray and seek forgiveness for the believers, so if a believer faces any weakness, Allah Almighty may cover it. Thus, Allah says:

"Those [angels] who carry the Throne and those around it exalt [ Allah ] with praise of their Lord and believe in Him and ask forgiveness for those who have believed, [saying], 'Our Lord, You have encompassed all things in mercy and knowledge, so forgive those who have repented and followed Your way and protect them from the punishment of Hellfire.'" (Surah Al-Mu'min: 8)

It is evident that the specific angels' task is to continuously pray for the specific believers that Allah forgives their weaknesses. And the general angels, their task is to pray for everyone. They pray even for the disbelievers, and in this way, the believers benefit twice. One, the specific angels pray for them, and the general angels who pray for everyone also include believers. Regarding praying for everyone, Allah Almighty says:

"And the angels exalt [ Allah ] with praise of their Lord and ask forgiveness for those on earth." (Surah Ash-Shura: 6)

Meaning, the angels of Allah's mercy continuously pray for everyone on earth that Allah forgives everyone.

It is my belief that Allah Almighty has set this path to empty Hell. As a result of the angels' prayers, in the end, He will say, "Go, I leave everyone." The tenth task of angels is that they are the ultimate cause of the laws of nature, and everything happening in the world is through the influence of angels. For example, rain falls, winds blow, poison affects, antidote works, and so on. All this happens due to the influence of angels, and nothing can have an effect without their influence. This does not mean that poison is not poison under itself, and antidote is not antidote in its essence, but the meaning is that as long as permission is not granted to poison, it cannot have an effect, and as long as permission is not given to the antidote, it cannot have an effect. This is the case with everything, as mentioned in the Noble Quran at various places that bringing rain, causing storms, and many other tasks are under the supervision of angels. This is a long series, and examples can be found in abundance, and fifteen examples can be found that indicate that angels are fulfilling various branches of the law of nature. Although some examples that are abundantly clear indicate this, if someone says how can all things be compared to them? The answer to this is that this comparison can be made with "those who carry the Throne." It can be understood that angels alone manifest all the attributes of Allah. The eleventh task of angels is that they do not only seek forgiveness but also continuously pray for the sins of people.

They seek forgiveness and also make supplications that Allah Almighty bestows blessings upon His servants. Seeking forgiveness implies covering the mistakes of humans, but they make supplications for Allah to send down His mercy. It is mentioned: "Indeed, Allah and His angels send blessings upon the Prophet. O you who have believed, ask [ Allah to confer] blessing upon him and ask [ Allah to grant him] peace." (Surah Al-Ahzab: 56)

These angels are under the mercy of Allah when a person works in the way of Allah, the angels supplicate for blessings to descend upon him from Allah. They themselves cannot bestow blessings, so they supplicate for blessings to be bestowed on a certain individual. Their supplication is like our Prophet's supplication when we ask Allah to bestow His blessings upon the Prophet. They also supplicate for Allah to have mercy on a certain individual. Allah says, "You too should supplicate, for Allah and the angels are engaged in this work." The twelfth task of angels is that some of them do nothing but worship. They are solely engaged in worship and will continue to do so until the end of this world. It is mentioned in a Hadith that there is not even a foot, a pillow, or a handspan of space empty in the seven heavens; angels are standing in worship, in prostration, or in bowing. When the Day of Judgment arrives, everyone will say, "You are pure. We did not worship You as was Your right." Yes, we can say that they were continuously engaged in worship until the end of this world.

(Al-Sirat al-Nabawiyyah by Ibn Hisham, Vol. 1, pp. 259-258, Publisher: Maktabat Tawfiqiyyah al-Azhar)

Angels of Allah

The ninth task of angels is to seek forgiveness for the believers. These are specific angels. It is their duty from Allah Almighty to continuously pray and seek forgiveness for the believers, so if a believer faces any weakness, Allah Almighty may cover it. Thus, Allah says:

"Those [angels] who carry the Throne and those around it exalt [ Allah ] with praise of their Lord and believe in Him and ask forgiveness for those who have believed, [saying], 'Our Lord, You have encompassed all things in mercy and knowledge, so forgive those who have repented and followed Your way and protect them from the punishment of Hellfire.'" Angels of Allah

It is mentioned in the heavens and the earth that Allah loves a certain person. So, you should also love him. Then all the dwellers of the heavens start loving him. Then his acceptance spreads in the earth. In that era, see how people are being drawn towards the service of the Promised Messiah. And it is spreading. The fifteenth task of angels is that sometimes angels are engaged in the service of the lovers of Allah. They are made servants and slaves of the officials. As Allah Almighty says:

"And [mention] when your Lord said to the angels, 'Indeed, I am going to create a human being from clay. So when I have proportioned him and breathed into him of My [created] soul, then fall down to him in prostration.'" (Surah Al-Hijr: 29-30)

Allah Almighty said to the angels that He is going to create a human being from clay. When I have formed him and breathed into him of My soul, then prostrate to him. That is, make him a prophet. At that time, you bow down in his servitude. Indeed, the angels are given in the servitude of the prophet and they come down from the station of the prophet.

The sixteenth task of angels is to teach and impart knowledge to people. They are appointed to enlighten the hearts of those inclined towards knowledge. It is narrated in Hadiths that Angel Gabriel, in the form of a human, came to the Noble Messenger (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and asked, "O Messenger of Allah, what is faith? What is religion?" The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) kept responding. When they departed, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) asked, "Who was that?" They replied, "It was Gabriel who came to teach you about faith." Angels also engage in teaching worldly sciences, even imparting knowledge to disbelievers. I have read a book by Edison where he writes, "There is not a single thing that I have created and brought out. Suddenly, a thought enters my heart, and I implement it. Since I had a passion for such sciences, I was taught such things." Just as prophets and saints have a passion for religious sciences, they are taught religious knowledge. The method of teaching angels is also remarkable. They teach a matter and do not place it in the objective mind but in the subconscious mind. That is, they place it in the back part of the brain so that a person can extract it by thinking. This provides more protection from the conscious mind and is stored as a reserve. Angels teach what they teach in the subconscious mind so that a person can retrieve it by thinking.

They are the ones who place knowledge in that third part. Alas, Allah's will. The brain has three parts. One part through which we see and understand things. The second part is like a storage where things are kept safe to be remembered. And the third part is where things are not recalled by mere remembrance but by much pondering, then the matter comes to light. Sometimes angels also enter this third part when needed, and incidents occur where knowledge comes to light. It does not come by remembering. This is my personal experience. I must have been around 17-18 years old. It was the time of the Promised Messiah. At that time, I compiled a treatise on discernment. In a dream, I saw an angel who asked me, "Should I teach you something?" I replied, "Teach me." He said, "Teach me the interpretation of Surah Al-Fatihah." I said, "Yes, teach me." He started teaching me. When he reached the verse "You alone we worship," he said that everyone has written interpretations up to this point but not beyond. At that moment, I also understood that it was so. Then he said, "But I will teach you beyond this." Thus, he taught the interpretation of the entire Surah, and my eyes opened. At that moment, I remembered a few delicate points that were so memorable but after waking up, I forgot them too. When I narrated this dream to the First Khalifa, he was very displeased.

Why didn't I write it down at that time? What was taught should have been written down immediately. Since that day until today, I have never spoken about Surah Al-Fatihah that I have not been taught new points. I understand that it is due to the knowledge that was imparted to me. I had a special experience of this knowledge once. Our school's team went to Amritsar for a match. Even though I had left school, I had a connection with the madrasa, so I also went along. Our boys won there, and after that, the Muslims held a gathering and asked me to give a speech. When we reached the gathering, on the way, I kept hearing that Allah Almighty has a plan with me that whenever I speak about Surah Al-Fatihah, new points will be explained to me. When I stood up to give the speech, no verse other than Surah Al-Fatihah came to my tongue. In the end, I thought my exam was about to happen, and I had to recite Surah Al-Fatihah. There was no mention of it in my mind. I recited it anyway, but after reciting, a new point was inserted into my heart immediately, that when the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) recited Surah Al-Fatihah, at that time, the audience were disbelievers, Jews, and Christians. They were not Jews or Christians, but the prayer in it was taught to prevent us from becoming like them. It should have been that prayers related to those present should have been taught so that we do not become like them. The point here is that since the disbelievers were to be destroyed and wiped out, there was no need for prayers for them. But since the Christians and Jews were to remain until the Day of Judgment, prayers related to them were taught. This point was explained to me collectively, and I thanked Allah Almighty for teaching me at that moment.

My pen dried up. Angels of Allah. So, this knowledge that is taught by Allah Almighty is always useful when needed, and the wisdom behind not remembering it is that if something is remembered, it would only be for one time, but this knowledge is always beneficial. Now, if someone objects and there is no one to ask about a Quranic verse, Allah Almighty enlightens me with the answer from Surah Al-Fatihah. So, blessings are bestowed when needed, and work can be done with them. Angels are used to impart knowledge. Mystical scholar Ibn Arabi writes in Futuhat Makkiyah that angels have taught me many sciences (Futuhat Makkiyah, Vol. 1, p. 6, Publisher: Egypt)

Even among the Sufis, there are discussions about angels. Although their discussion is not in comparison to the Promised Messiah. The Promised Messiah used to say that thousands of words were taught to you. I have also learned many things through angels. Once, I was given knowledge about a sin issue with such vastness that I am amazed at how a pattern of shortcomings and wrongdoings is drawn. The seventh task of angels is to create good impulses and good thoughts in every person's heart. This is the work of the angel appointed for each individual. In reality, this arrangement is under the influence of Gabriel, where the angel instills good impulses in the heart of every person. The essence is that angels create such situations that bring goodness to a person's heart. The task is carried out under the supervision of Gabriel, instilling good impulses in the hearts of people. The fear instilled in the heart is the work of the angels. The angel's task is to instill good impulses in every person's heart. Let it be known that when a person feels a good impulse in his heart, it is from Allah Almighty, so he should thank Allah. And when a person feels a negative impulse, denies the truth, or is prevented from doing good, then he should seek refuge in Allah from Satan, the accursed. It is stated that there are two types of impulses in a person's heart. One is the impulse of good things from an angel, confirming the truth. So, when one feels such an impulse, he should know that it is from Allah. Therefore, he should thank Allah. And the other type of impulse is from an enemy, instigating major issues and denying truths, and preventing from doing good. So, when one feels such an impulse, he should seek refuge in Allah from Satan. I have explained the reality of angels and their work. It becomes evident that angels have a significant connection with humans, not just a superficial matter as commonly perceived. It is understood that the existence of angels is highly beneficial. Can humans benefit angels? Now, we see whether angels can benefit humans or not? As far as my research goes, it seems that humans cannot benefit angels in any way. However, they can pray for the progress of angels. So, it is known from the Quran and Hadith that humans cannot benefit angels in any way, but they can pray for their advancement. Thus, when the angels came to Prophet Ibrahim and greeted him, Prophet Ibrahim also responded to their greeting. If angels could not benefit from this interaction, they would not have responded to the greeting because a greeting is a prayer for safety and well-being.

Original source:View on Alislam.org
Page 53

And supplication for someone who cannot progress is futile. Similarly, it is narrated that the Noble Messenger (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) told Hazrat Aisha that Gabriel had greeted her. Upon this, Hazrat Aisha replied with greetings. The Noble Messenger (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) did not prohibit them. (Ibn Majah, Book of Manners, Chapter: Responding to Greetings)

Similarly, when the Tashahhud was not recited, the Companions used to say, "Peace be upon Allah, peace be upon Gabriel, peace be upon so and so." Upon this, the Noble Messenger (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) prohibited saying peace upon Allah but did not prohibit saying peace upon Gabriel. If Gabriel had no benefit from this, you would have prohibited it. More than that, it is not known how to benefit the angels. The proof of the existence of angels is now presented. I prove that angels indeed exist. First, it is mentioned in the Quran that they exist. Now, I present evidence to show how it is known that they are angels.

  1. We see that there is a universal law in place, and it is such a powerful law that it cannot be denied, and that law is under a will. For example, we observe the rotation of stars in the sky. There is such wisdom in them that their arrangement cannot be without reason or without a will. Then there is this earth that is inhabited. Astronomers have made great efforts to prove it as an ordinary planet and have made great efforts. (Sunan Nasai, Book of The Opening, Chapter: How to Recite the First Tashahhud)

Page 54

Angels of Allah

They say that it is small and proven to be at the center. We say why is it placed at the center? The fact is that since the human species dwell on it, all the stars influence it, and it could have been in the center in the same way. It is known that it is built under a will. Similarly, a star appeared many years ago, and it was thought that it would collide with the earth and destroy the whole world, but after some time, its direction changed, and nothing happened. This has happened several times, and it was assumed that when solid stars collide with the earth, the earth will be destroyed. When they reach the point where they collide with the earth, they change their path, which is astonishing. Dense stars, which cannot cause any harm, come near the earth, and their tail collides with the earth. But they are made of such delicate particles that they do not cause any harm to the world. Once, European scientists announced that a star would pass near the earth, causing its destruction. Many people committed suicide due to the unknown extent of pain and suffering at that time. But the star came and went without causing any harm. Scientists explained that its particles were so fine that when it came against the sun, its tail deviated from the pressure of the sun's rays towards the right.

To the left. Angels of Allah. It is evident from these discussions that there is an organized law under which everything is functioning. If a higher being did not exist behind, then how would this system operate? Now the question arises, who is this higher being? The decision of this is only in the hands of Allah Almighty, and He says that they are angels. So, every matter is under the control of angels, and through them, this system is running. I personally have experienced that every matter is under the control of angels, and it works according to their will. Once I had a fever. The doctor prescribed medicines, but there was no benefit. One day, Chaudhry Zafarullah Khan Sahib came, and there was also a non-Ahmadi with him. I called them to my place. Before their arrival, I felt a shiver, and a mosquito appeared in front of me and said, "Today the thermometer will break." When Dr. Sahib and Chaudhry Sahib and their non-Ahmadi friend and some other friends arrived, I revealed that discovery to them. After a while, when Dr. Sahib checked with a thermometer, there was no fever at that time. In reality, the mosquito did not speak; rather, it was the angel who spoke, whose control was over the mosquito. Every single thing working under arrangement and will is proof of the existence of angels. (2) Physical construction proves that they are angels because current research has shown that the things visible in the world are not actually as they seem. For example, the human visible to us is not made up of just one thing; rather, it is composed of millions of particles. Then those particles, in turn, are made up of many millions of particles. It is known that it is built under a will.

Original source:View on Alislam.org

Angels are a collection of extremely fine particles. An American scientist has discovered a particle that passes through the human body. Air cannot pass through the body, but when the particle touches the body, it comes out from the other side. Thus, scientific research proves that whatever we see is composed of extremely fine particles and subtle elements that are not visible to the naked eye, indicating that there is wisdom behind this delicacy. And this wisdom is that angels have control over objects, which are themselves extremely delicate. The sequence of going from gross objects to extremely fine particles indicates that they are well organized. The delicacy of objects indicates that subtle spirits are working on them, and they are indeed angels. (3) Valid testimony also proves the existence of something. For example, when people come from London and say that London is a city, people believe them. Similarly, when such reputable individuals have been saying about the existence of angels, why should they not be believed? If testimony cannot be trusted, then London should also be near those people who have seen it. And those who have not seen it should not have any reality about London. Someone may say that anyone can see London, but we say this is incorrect because not everyone can see London; only the person who has money can see it. Similarly, we say that it is wrong to claim that everyone can see angels. London can be seen only by the person who has money. We say the same about seeing angels, which requires a strong belief.

Original source:View on Alislam.org
Page 57

Angels of Allah

One who can gather money and see London can also see angels. Therefore, the testimonies of hundreds and thousands of people regarding angels also prove their existence. (4) Evidence is what is observed daily. And if not daily, then after a while, everyone experiences that sometimes something affects his heart that has no connection with his thoughts, and sometimes his thoughts are reversed, and he is compelled to act in a certain way that he cannot resist. Such times come upon every person, even upon disbelievers. It happens repeatedly. Such incidents are written about repeatedly. For example, they say that a movement was created in our hearts that compelled us to go to a place, and there we saw a dead body. Who are the movers of such movements? Angels. So, this kind of testimony is also found among materialistic people. And spiritual people have many testimonies about this, that a unique movement occurs in the heart that has no connection with thoughts, and one has to act upon it. This movement is from the angels, and it is proof of their existence.

The Necessity of Angels. I have presented rational evidence for the existence of angels. Now, I explain the necessity of angels. The necessity is also a proof of something because when the necessity of something is established, it becomes evident that it must exist. So, I explain the necessity of angels. The first necessity is that there should be a resemblance between the spiritual and physical systems, and there should be. Spiritual matters are analogized with physical matters because both these systems operate similarly except that where their uniform operation is necessary. And in physical matters, we observe that a wide series of causes operates, and hidden causes operate secretly to the extent that they reach extremely delicate gases. It is said that even beyond them, it transfers into material powers and the sources of those powers are attributed to angels. The purpose is that the physical series is arranged in such a way that it becomes extremely subtle and completely invisible, and no means can see it. Just as it reaches extremely delicate gases, it is said that it goes beyond them and transfers into material powers, and the sources of those powers are attributed to angels. The purpose is that the physical series is arranged in such a way that it becomes extremely subtle and completely invisible, and no means can see it. Such subtlety is necessary for the spiritual series as well, and it exists. And the ultimate link of this series is angels. Saying that not everything happens in spiritual matters but only in physical matters is a mistake. A philosopher of physics has written that nothing happens for no reason, but every single thing has a reason behind it.

Original source:View on Alislam.org
Page 59

Angels of Allah

Causes come from far and wide. So, when physical matters do not happen without a series of causes, should spiritual matters also not be considered to have a chain of causes? When the series of causes operates in physical matters, it is necessary that there should be a resemblance in spiritual matters as well, and the final link of the spiritual series is angels. Hence, the necessity of angels for spirituality exists. (2) We progress in everything, and considering the universality of progress, scientists have concluded that the current state of humans was not the same before. Initially, it was in the form of a worm, then progressed and advanced until it reached the present state. The use of progress may seem incorrect in this context and can be refuted in various ways. However, there is no doubt that contemplating this issue proves that a change in different states or a desire for different degrees or the need for means is desired. A sudden transition to completely different states is impossible. So, on one side, there is a desire for the attainment of the highest advancements within humans and a yearning for union with Allah Almighty, and on the other side, there is a hindrance in the current density meeting it. Both these matters lead us to the conclusion that there should be an intermediary between humans and Allah Almighty, which should be a creation on one side and noble and spiritual on the other, and this intermediary is called angels. It is said that a person climbed a tall minaret but could not descend. Someone tied a single-threaded rope to an arrow and shot it towards him, and he caught it. This time, the single thread

Original source:View on Alislam.org
Page 60

He hung down below, and the one below attached a slightly thicker rope to him, which he grabbed and pulled himself up. Then more and more ropes were tied to him until a chain was formed, and he descended through it. Similarly, through angels, a person's connection with God is established. They are the intermediaries through whom a person establishes a connection with God and absorbs His blessings. So, the existence of angels is necessary to establish a connection with God. The third necessity for angels becomes apparent when we observe in the visible world that there are two series for physical training, one that works without human knowledge and involvement. As Allah Almighty states: "And He has subjected to you the night and the day and the sun and the moon, and the stars are subjected by His command." (Quran, An-Nahl: 16) In Arabic, it is called that which does not incur any expense and gives work. Allah Almighty says, "We have made the night and the day, the sun and the moon, and the stars in service for you. You do not have to work for them, and you do not incur any expenses on them. The night comes and the day rises, but you do not have to work for them, and you do not incur any expenses on them. Similarly, the sun emits heat, the moon shines, and the stars are exerting various influences. But you do not have to do anything for them. This arrangement towards which Allah Almighty has pointed.

Page 61

It has been stated that the proof of this matter is that Allah Almighty has established a system for our benefit that works on its own. We have no involvement in it. For example, there is such power in the rays of the sun that if water is placed in different colored glass bottles in front of it, a power is produced in it that can treat many diseases. Similarly, some plants grow and ripen due to the moonlight. I myself have seen that during moonlit nights, growth occurs so rapidly that the sound of growth can be heard. And there are many effects of these things that we know. And how many effects are there that we do not know? So, the moon, sun, and stars are all exerting influences, and now it has been discovered that the killer of silk worms is sunlight, so sunlight is also used as a treatment. Keeping this in mind, see how the sun is serving humans. A person goes to a silk worm-infested patient; it is possible that worms have entered the patient's body and are causing his death, but when he passes through the intense sunlight, the worms themselves die, and the patient is cured without even knowing it, and thus he is saved. So, on one hand, there is a series that is working for the benefit of humans without their labor and effort. And on the other hand, there is a series where humans work hard and benefit from something, making it useful for themselves. Like making bread from wheat, building a house from mud, and so on.

Wood to make a cart, ghee, and train manufacturing is acquiring knowledge. Now, the place of contemplation is whether it is possible that for the physical training and organization of humans, there are two series, but for their spirituality, Allah has not done anything? Here, the resemblance between spiritual and physical systems indicates that just as the effects of the moon, sun, and stars are automatically benefiting and affecting the physical organization of humans, there should also be a series for spirituality that benefits human spirituality. For this purpose, Allah Almighty has placed angels who generate spirituality in humans and protect it. Yes, when a disease worsens, just as the sunlight cannot kill silk worms but requires medicine, similarly, when spiritual illness worsens, it also requires means and provisions. These are the necessities of angels' existence. Objections to the existence of angels and their answers, I now provide answers to the objections raised about angels:

The first objection is raised that if angels exist, why do we not see them? This is an objection that elicits laughter because there are hundreds of things in the world that are not visible but people believe in them. I say, can sweetness be seen by anyone? It will be said that it is something tasted, not seen. I say, can sound be seen by anyone? It will be said that its relation is with the ear. Then I say, can hardness or softness be seen by anyone? It will be said that it is related to touch.

It is said that the sense of smell is related to touch. Then I say, can you see sound? It is related to the ear. Can hardness or softness be seen? It is related to touch. These answers reveal that not everything needs to be seen to be known, but there are other senses as well. Who has seen the wind? When it blows, its effects are known, not seen. There are many such forces. For example, memory is a force. Who believes in it by tasting, smelling, or seeing it? Its effects reveal its presence. So, it is known that there are things believed without seeing them, and they are believed through their effects. Similarly, angels can be believed through their effects; it is not necessary for them to be seen. Their effects reveal their presence. Another objection is raised by scholars, which is considered a solid objection, but I say it is an ignorant objection that cannot surpass ignorance. The objection is raised that it is said, is God in need of angels? Did He create them because He needed them? We say that God is the Creator of angels, and the Creator of something does not need it. God Almighty is not in need of angels because He creates angels Himself. Then why would He need them? Need is for others, not for oneself. Since God Almighty Himself creates angels, He does not need them, and this objection is ignorant.

Page 64

Another objection arises in this way that in the material world, we observe that every single thing has established causes. Those who claim that believing in angels necessitates considering God dependent on them believe that just as the law of filling the stomach through food is God's law, we say, does making a law for filling the stomach through food make God dependent on the person eating? Similarly, there is an illness, and God has prescribed its cure through medicine. Does God become dependent on medicine? Similarly, for light, God created the sun. Does God become dependent on the sun? The reason is that when causes are established in the physical realm, there is no need, but if angels are appointed as causes in the spiritual realm, then there is a need. The third objection is that those causes that are apparent in the world do not become the cause of weakness, which cannot act without the control and authority of others. For example, a person is upset with someone and does not speak to them. But another person conveys to them about it. Will the upset person say that they are mute? They cannot say that they did not speak to me. This objection is wrong because they speak to others. Similarly, we see that God created angels without apparent causes. If He had created them without causes, it would have been known that even without causes, God can work. But He appointed angels under a wisdom. So, when the creation of angels is such that God created them without apparent causes, it is evident that their appointment is under a wisdom, not that God is dependent on them and cannot do anything without them.

Page 65

Angels of Allah

The answer to this question of why you consider appointing angels as a necessity, we call it wisdom. The wisdom in appointing angels is that the vastness of sciences is due to their hidden causes and then due to their abundance. For example, if the qualities in the universe were not hidden, the knowledge related to them would not have progressed. Therefore, for the vastness of sciences, the presence of hidden tools is necessary. As long as the causes are hidden, vastness cannot be achieved because where there is apparent matter, vastness cannot be created. So, for the vastness in sciences, Allah Almighty has kept hidden tools. And as they are discovered, vastness is created in sciences, and the more one puts effort and hard work into discovering them, the more benefit and fame one achieves. If a patient had descended on his own, the doctor who pondered over his causes and discovered the treatment, what difference would there be between him and other people?

What difference is there in this knowledge that is progressing? So, hidden causes are a significant means for progress and achieving higher ranks. If these did not exist, no one could progress or attain higher degrees. This is the condition of spirituality. Humans were created so they could achieve spiritual progress; for this purpose, spiritual tools have also been kept hidden, which one uses to progress and obtain blessings and ranks. So, for progressions, the concealment of causes is a crucial necessity. Therefore, it is wrong to say that if hidden causes are considered, then God would be considered dependent on them. The existence of hidden causes does not prove the need of Allah Almighty but proves the need of the individual to work through them to progress. If hidden causes are believed, it does not necessitate making God dependent on them. The presence of hidden causes does not prove the need of Allah Almighty but proves the need of the individual to work through them. God has established this law for the advancement through hidden causes, not that He is dependent on them and cannot do anything without them.

When a seed is sown, a good fruit will be produced. This is not because Allah is in need of it, but because the landlord who wants to become a great landlord and produce good crops needs it. If bringing forth excellent fruits from the earth did not require any effort or knowledge, then no landlord would have any merit, and the soul that is currently working would be completely lost. Furthermore, if hidden causes did not exist, the glory of God would not be apparent to people, and they would not acknowledge His power. Therefore, the creation of hidden causes does not indicate a need on the part of God but is for the correction and benefit of individuals. These hidden causes, which when discovered lead to progress, advancement, and honor, are ultimately the angels. These causes were manifested with such vastness to the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that the progress and rank he attained could not be achieved by anyone else. Similarly, these causes were manifested to the Promised Messiah and you also attained higher honor and rank. Then through these causes, I also received honor and rank from Allah Almighty. So, there would have been no difference in these levels, and all would have been the same. However, due to the manifestation of hidden causes, each individual received the rank according to the causes that were manifested to them. What doubt is there in this that generally the cause is apparent, and the reason is hidden? And to discover the hidden cause, one has to endure hardship, which leads to their progress.

Page 67

Rewards and increased knowledge enhance interest. This is a natural feature that attracts human interest towards hidden things. The effects and creations of medicines are of this kind. Discovering these causes elevates human ranks. Therefore, hidden spiritual causes were also necessary for increasing human inner knowledge, creating differences in efforts and struggles, allowing spiritual individuals to gain superiority, providing a platform for competition, enhancing progress and morale, and manifesting the boundless powers of Allah. Could it have been possible that Allah made the system that concealed His existence so magnificent and limited the system that revealed His existence completely? So, the question of the need for causes does not arise. The third objection is raised that we observe causes for everything in the world, then how can we accept that angels are the means? For example, when the wind blows, we know that certain changes occur or clouds form. We know that water vapors rise through the sun and then rain falls. How can we believe that angels are the means? These are ignorant statements and belong to the era when it was said that an angel drinks water from the sea and then brings rain. Who can believe such things in the era of knowledge and research?

But those who present this objection about angels, which is a correct belief, do not understand it. We do not say that the immediate cause of rain is an angel and that the angel drinks water from the sea.

Original source:View on Alislam.org
Page 68

Angels of Allah

Water does not bring rain by itself; rather, we say that the vapor-raising angel is the one who causes rain to fall. We refer to the ultimate cause as an angel, not that there is no other cause. Everything has causes, but behind all causes, an angel is at work. It is true that different changes occur due to causes, and one cause leads to another, and behind the others, there will be a third, until there may be hundreds of such causes that the world does not know. But behind all, there will be an angel. Whether there are countless intermediate causes, we do not deny them, but we believe in angels at the end of all causes. The fourth objection is raised that the changes that occur are under established laws. For example, if someone has a fever, and if the fever-raising angel is the cause, why does the fever go down with medication? And when an illness is cured by medicine, why does the fever-raising angel disappear? Does the angel run away at that time?

This objection is also ignorant because we do not claim that angels are absolute entities; rather, we say that angels manifest the qualities of objects. When a person uses those objects whose qualities, as a result of a hidden chain of causes, are destined to cause a fever, the angel who is entrusted with the initial causes of those objects' qualities initiates the production of vapor. But when a person uses those objects whose qualities, hidden in a hidden chain of causes, are destined to produce vapor, then at that time, the final entrusted angel begins to manifest its effect, and the first angel, according to the established rules, starts removing its effect.

Original source:View on Alislam.org
Page 69

Angels of Allah

So, it is incorrect to say that the angel who manifests the effects of medicine runs away. In reality, when the effect of the angel of medicine starts to appear, the angel who manifests the effects of the illness begins to remove its effect. Why has the command to believe in angels been given? Let me explain why the command to believe in angels has been given. It is understood that angels are good beings and through them, the effects of things become apparent. But believing in a pen is also beneficial; it helps in writing. Why wasn't the command given to believe in it? Similarly, you say that angels bring rain, but the sun is also a means for rain. Why wasn't the command given to believe in it? Why has the command to believe in angels been given?

To understand this, let's find out why the command to believe in messengers, books has been given. When this is known, we will understand the principle due to which the command to believe in something is given; we will also examine it in relation to angels. The reality is that the being inherently deserving of belief is only Allah. Messengers and books are means through which belief in Allah is established. Otherwise, they are not the actual purpose. The command to believe in heavenly books has been given because through them, recognition of Allah occurs, and a meeting with Allah takes place. Since they are the words of Allah, through them, a person becomes attentive to the essence of Allah and meets Allah.

The reason for believing in messengers is to establish the existence of Allah Almighty through their signs. So, having faith in messengers is not due to their own essence but because they serve as a means to believe in Allah. Therefore, faith in messengers, books, the Day of Judgment is a means to believe in Allah. There are only five things on which faith is necessary: angels, books, messengers, destiny, and the Day of Judgment. Having faith in them is for believing in the existence of Allah because they are the means through which belief in Allah is established. Regarding angels, the discussion is about the purpose of having faith in them. Look at all other matters; having faith in them is to draw attention towards Allah. According to this principle, we say that if attention is drawn towards Allah Almighty through angels, then having faith in them is necessary. Generally, those who abandon Allah in the world do so because their focus is on apparent causes. For example, when they see the effect of fire, they say, "What is God doing? This is the cause of the fire." This is the reason for the fire. Similarly, they deny God by looking at apparent causes. But the command to believe in angels signifies that the ultimate cause of everything is an angel, and this is such a command that all sciences emerge from it because Allah Almighty has revealed that if you start searching for the reality of everything, hidden causes will emerge. At a time when the world was understanding things based on apparent causes, Islam revealed that

Original source:View on Alislam.org
Page 71

It was said that every fine thread of everything is a cause. The microscope has now revealed that the plague does not occur on its own, but it is caused by insects. It happens due to these insects, and these are the causes. Then there are causes within causes. Similarly, causes are within causes. The ultimate and final cause of all causes are angels, and above them is Allah. So, by believing in angels, faith is gained in the final link of causes, and through this, faith in Allah is gained. This is the reason for believing in angels. Furthermore, faith is mentioned in the Quran and in meanings as well. Faith is not just in the existence of a being, but also in understanding its movements. Allah Almighty says:

"So whoever disbelieves in Taghut and believes in Allah has grasped the most trustworthy handhold with no break in it. And Allah is Hearing and Knowing." (Al-Baqarah: 257)

The one who denies Taghut and believes in Allah holds onto a firm support that never breaks, and Allah is All-Hearing, All-Knowing. Taghut refers to Satan. Now if denial's meaning is taken as the denial of the essence of something, then these meanings will be that the one who escapes destruction is the one who denies the existence of Satan and affirms the existence of Allah. Although these meanings are entirely wrong. This is because the Quran clearly affirms the existence of Allah Almighty as well as the existence of Satan. So, by affirmation and faith, the meaning of this verse is that one rejects the words of Satan and believes in the words of Allah. Now if the same meaning is applied to faith in angels

Page 72

Angels of Allah

When it is said to believe in angels, it means to accept their movements. Similarly, believing in books and messengers means to follow the divine commands mentioned in the books and the instructions given by the messengers. And having faith in the Day of Judgment means to consider it and avoid major sins. So, having faith in Allah, angels, books, and messengers implies obeying their commands. It may be asked that if believing in them means this, then why was the command given to believe in these four specifically? Besides them, there are mosques and caliphs, and having faith in their commands should also be necessary, and denying them should be considered disbelief. But when denying them is not disbelief, then why is denying the rest disbelief? This is correct that caliphs and religious leaders also give good advice, but there is a difference between the words of God Almighty, the prophets, angels, and the books, and the difference is that disbelief arises even from the smallest difference in beliefs. For example, if someone says that the command given by the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) to wash the feet during ablution is incorrect, then they may not be considered a disbeliever, but there may be a difference in interpretation. However, if someone says that they do not believe in the meanings of a verse mentioned by the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him), then they would be considered a disbeliever. This is because rejecting even a single word of the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) is not permissible for anyone. While it is necessary to follow the commands of caliphs, it is not necessary to agree with their opinions. It is possible that someone may not agree with their opinions, but it is not necessary to be in agreement. It may be that a caliph interprets a verse in a certain way, and another person does not understand it in the same manner, and they do not accept it, which is permissible. But if someone denies the meanings explained by the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) regarding a verse, they would be considered a disbeliever. This is because rejecting even a single statement of the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) is not permissible for anyone. When it comes to any matter on which opinions are given, not everyone agrees. Therefore, Hazrat Abu Bakr, concerning those who refused to pay Zakat, said that enslaving them is permissible because they are apostates and disbelievers. However, Hazrat Umar kept saying until the end that he did not agree with that. But if the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) had said it, then disagreeing with him was not permissible. Since the prophets are related to principles, disagreeing with them is never allowed. Yes, differences can occur with caliphs. So even now, disagreements arise in some scientific issues. And previously, we have also seen that sometimes caliphs had to accept others' opinions, and sometimes others had to accept the caliphs' opinions. So, there could be a difference of opinion with caliphs in such matters, but not with prophets. If someone disagrees with the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) about the direction from which water flows, they would be considered a disbeliever. But Majd al-Din and caliphs are not such that if there is a difference in matters, then a person becomes a disbeliever. If there is a disagreement with them in matters, a person may err, but prophets are not like that. If someone disagrees with the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) even in the smallest matter, they become a disbeliever. It is obligatory to say that whatever the Prophet says is true. The purpose of having faith in angels is to accept that what angels say is correct. Therefore, the command to believe in what angels say is given, meaning to have faith. And the proof of this is found in the Quran that what angels say is true.

69 The Angels of Allah The Quran has illustrated through an example the consequences of not believing in angels. Allah says:

"And [mention] when We said to the angels, 'Prostrate to Adam,' and they prostrated, except for Iblis. He refused and was arrogant and became of the disbelievers." (Al-Baqarah: 35)

It becomes evident from the Quran that Iblis was not an angel but a jinn, and there was another being besides the angels. How did it become known that Adam should prostrate? Because the command was given to the angels. It could have been understood that the angels initiated the prostration movement towards Adam, but if it was not accepted, what was the result? Disbelief. So, believing in the movements of angels is obligatory, and they are virtuous beings. I have already explained what angels are, what they do, and why it is necessary to have faith in them. What are they and what is their function? And why is it essential to believe in them? I have also provided answers to the objections raised about them. But questions arise about them, and I will now answer those questions. How many types of angels are there, and what is the nature of their blessings?

I now state that the blessings of angels are of various kinds. However, since questions also arise about the blessings of angels, it is also questioned what kind of relationship Satan has with humans because these two entities are in opposition. Therefore, I will also mention that.

Original source:View on Alislam.org
Page 75

Angels of Allah

It should be understood that angels have three types of effects, and Satan also has three types of effects. The first connection of an angel is with humans, which is called the movement of the angel. An example of this is when walking, a person forgets that someone tells them this is not the way; you should go there. Similarly, when there is movement from the angels, it is as if a stranger is guiding. When this connection deepens, it becomes like a friend guiding a friend who is familiar with the path. This is called the confirmation of the Holy Spirit. When someone achieves the descent of the Holy Spirit, this connection becomes established, but the first, i.e., the movement, is temporary. Beyond this is the third degree where the relationship between the angel and human becomes that of a servant and master, meaning the angel is not just a companion but also receives the command of obedience and service to Allah Almighty from humans and does not stay with them like a friend but like a servant. This is the same level that led Hazrat Masih Maud (as) to receive the revelation that "Fire is our servant, rather the servant of servants." (Reference page 397, 4th Edition) Being a servant of fire means

Original source:View on Alislam.org
Page 76

Angels of Allah

The Angel of Fire This means that the Angel of Fire was your servant. And [mention] when We said to the angels, 'Prostrate to Adam,' and they prostrated, except for Iblis. He refused and was arrogant and became of the disbelievers. (Al-Hijr: 30) The same meaning applies that concerning Adam the First, the angels were commanded to become his obedient followers and servants. When the angels were commanded concerning Adam the First, why was it not said that Adam the Second (Hazrat Masih Maud) who had excelled in the status of Adam should not be called the servant of fire but rather the servant of your servants. For this degree of humans, the state of the angel is like that of a servant, and they do not have the choice to separate from it. A servant can leave service, but an angel cannot separate. This is the level of the prophets. Similar relationships exist between Satan and humans. The first degree of those connected with Satan is Satanic. Just as someone is walking on the right path and an evil person tells them to go the wrong way, they mockingly say go here, not there, leading them astray. If someone believes them, they go astray. Similarly, Satan initially deceives in this way, and when someone falls for his deception, they are led astray. But at that time, angels are present with them, trying to guide them on the right path. However, when someone starts believing Satan repeatedly, they deteriorate further and fall into a worse state, and due to repeatedly meeting with Satan, they develop a friendly relationship with him. Regarding this, Allah Almighty states: "And whoever is an ally of Satan will be in a state of ruin." (An-Nisa: 39)

Original source:View on Alislam.org
Page 77

72 The Relationship Between Humans, Angels, and Satan The connection between angels and humans starts at the first level. Satan becomes their companion, which is a very bad friend. This then leads to the second level, where Satan becomes the master, and humans become his servants. Concerning such people, Allah Almighty states that they are the servants of Taghut, meaning they worship Satan and become his slaves. It is as if those who are heading towards goodness eventually become riders, and those heading towards evil end up being ridden. These are the three levels of goodness and evil that are linked to individuals. Now the question arises that when each person experiences these states, do they have separate angels with them? The answer is yes, indeed, each person has individual angels assigned to them. The main point is that, as I have previously explained, angels come in two types. One type is those who are appointed as guardians and supervisors for each individual. Thus, Allah Almighty states: "There is no soul but that it has over it a protector." (At-Tariq: 5) It is evident that every person has an appointed angel with them. The other type of angels are those who have a connection with every human, and each person is influenced by them to varying degrees. For example, Gabriel has an impact on everyone. Such angels are servants in front of humans, and they transmit their influences to other objects.

73 The Descent of Angels Now a question arises that if one angel influences all humans, then how do angels descend? Remember that the descent of angels is a term used in the Quran. This does not mean that an angel physically descends but that they continuously exert influence. Look, for Allah Almighty, the term descent is also used. It is mentioned in hadiths that in the last part of Laylat al-Qadr, Allah descends. This means that at that time, Allah Almighty significantly influences. These same meanings apply to the descent of Gabriel because Gabriel does not physically descend as he is known to be stationed and does not move from his place; he exerts influence from his position. Just like when the sun shines on glass, it does not physically enter it. Similarly, Gabriel did not come to the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) but his influence did. When something in the form of a human came to the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him), it did not come by itself but was created by his influence. Otherwise, where he is, there he remains. So, the meaning of his descent is only that just as the sun casts its image on glass, Gabriel exerts his influence on hearts that are receptive to his influence, and this is his descent. When this descent occurs, the Holy Spirit accompanies the human, and they perform every task through it. This is what happened concerning Hazrat Isa (Jesus). The Christians say that Satan used to deceive them. Allah Almighty states that how could Satan deceive them when Gabriel was with them. Now the question arises, what does it mean when Gabriel descends?

74 The Reflection of Angels When someone's heart was so pure that the reflection of Gabriel fell upon it, they all should have been alike. The Holy Prophet (peace be upon him), Hazrat Musa, Hazrat Isa, all should have been at the same level. But this is incorrect because reflections vary, and it is not just seen whose reflection it is but also on whom the reflection falls. When the sun's reflection falls on iron, it will have its own shine and dignity, and when it falls on glass, it will have its own shine and dignity. Indeed, Gabriel was one, and his reflection was also one. But as many hearts were purified, so much higher degree was displayed. This is the reason that despite Gabriel being one, those on whom the reflection fell were at different levels. Musa was Musa, and Muhammad (peace be upon him) was Muhammad. And this is why the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) attained the highest rank and status among all prophets because one reflected on all prophets, and if those who reflected were different, it would have been said that the one who reflected on the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) was of a higher degree, so you attained a higher degree, and those who reflected on other prophets were not like that, so they remained at a lower rank than the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him). If the same reflection had been cast on them that was cast on the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him), they would have attained the same degree as the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him). But now, since the same reflection is cast, the difference in their ranks is based on the purity of their hearts. Because when the same thing is cast on different things, the result will be arranged according to the purity of their own vessels. While those on whom the reflection fell

75 The Reflection of Angels When the reflection of the same thing falls on different vessels, despite being the same, the result varies. This is the virtue of the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) over all prophets that his heart was the purest and the reflection upon it was the greatest. It should also be noted that sometimes different names are given to the types of influences. Thus, it is the Holy Spirit's influence and the nature of the influence varies according to the purity of the heart. When taking a reflection of the sun, it is known that glass is much better suited for it than a piece of iron. As the heart of the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) was the best, the reflection that fell upon him, being the highest and greatest, will remain with him until the Day of Judgment, and thus the nature of the influence changed. Look, when the revelation of Gabriel was disclosed to Hazrat Masih, it was shown in the form of a dove, but the revelation that came to the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) was in the form of a human, which was the most exalted and perfect revelation. So, the nature of the revelations also varies. It is due to this variation in the nature of the influences that Gabriel has many names. The Holy Spirit, the Trustworthy Spirit, and others. The Holy Spirit is named after Gabriel due to the revelation he brings down, and the Trustworthy Spirit is his title because he always protected that revelation and it was his duty to safeguard it from all kinds of defects. The name Gabriel is due to the same influence that he had on the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him).

Page 81

The Angel Gabriel It is a great favor and kindness of Allah Almighty that the Angel Gabriel received another address due to the Holy Prophet Muhammad's (peace be upon him) noble character. While other prophets are associated with the Holy Spirit, Gabriel is associated with the Holy Trustworthy Spirit. However, the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) received the reflection of the Holy Trustworthy Spirit. This reflection not only brings purity but also ensures its perpetuity. The sanctity emerged in the Holy Trustworthy Spirit, and along with it, perpetuity was also found. Hence, this name is superior to the Holy Spirit. Is the angel superior or the human?

Now I answer the question of whether the angel is superior or the human? Because the emphasis has been placed on the fact that concerning Jesus, Moses, and the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), the reflection of Gabriel was received, it may be thought in someone's heart that the one who excelled in receiving this reflection is superior, not the one who reached the highest station through his reflection. It should be noted that despite the fact that Jesus, Moses, and the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) received the reflection of Gabriel, it does not mean that they are superior to Gabriel. There are many reasons for this. Gabriel is indeed the one who brings the reflection, but as a medium, not the actual source of the reflection; that is Allah. And the example is just like the sun's reflection falling on glass and then on something else. Gabriel undoubtedly casts the reflection, but as a medium, not the actual source; that is God. And the example is just like the sun's reflection falling on glass and then on something else. Gabriel takes the light from Allah Almighty and then passes it on.

It should be noted that despite Jesus, Moses, and the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) receiving the reflection of Gabriel, it can be considered that the reflection of Gabriel is superior, and there are many reasons for this.

76 The Reflection of Angels The reflection does not descend from its essence but through a medium, sometimes it is higher and sometimes lower. An example of the higher is like the sun's reflection falling on glass. Glass will be superior to the thing on which its reflection falls. And the lower is like a king writing a letter and giving it to a messenger to deliver to a minister who does not know what is in it or what is not. His job is to deliver it. Or for example, giving verbal messages through someone. Still, the minister who receives it will understand it better if the Prophet receives it. Keeping this example in mind, we can say that it is possible that Allah Almighty's message falls on the Prophet through Gabriel, but Gabriel himself does not know what it is. This can also be understood from the Hadith. In the incident of the Ascension, it is mentioned that at a certain point, Gabriel said to the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him), "You go ahead; I cannot go further." So what was conveyed through Gabriel is like sending a message to someone, some of which he understands, and some are signs that only the one to whom the message was sent can understand or the one who sent the message. Similarly, what Gabriel took, he took it, but there are also things in it that only Allah and the Prophet can understand. This example is such that Gabriel could not understand what he took. Besides, the part that Gabriel could understand, the Prophet (peace be upon him) was superior in understanding it. I explain this through an example. Two people are affected by steam, and both are given medicine. Sometimes one will be affected immediately, and the other will be affected later. Why is that? It is evident that this difference will be due to the personal strengths of both. The result will be based on the purity of their vessels.

77 The Influence of Reflections There will be substances that dominate the body slowly and those that have an immediate effect on it. This example is similar to the differences in the power of repelling evil. In attracting good, the same occurs. Two individuals consume the same food; one gains strength quickly, and the other does not benefit much. Sometimes, one consumes a larger quantity of food beforehand. Similarly, the teachings understood by both Gabriel and the Noble Prophet (peace be upon him) were different. The Noble Prophet (peace be upon him) was superior because the influence he exerted on the Noble Prophet (peace be upon him) was according to his people's understanding, while Gabriel's influence was according to his people. This can be understood in a simpler way that I am explaining this content in Urdu right now, and everyone can understand it, but not everyone can understand it in the same way, nor does everyone have the same effect. Then the influence also depends on the heart. Look, it is like Surah Al-Fath. When one person recites it, tears flow, and when another reads it, happiness appears on their face. The reason is that the one whose heart is filled with sorrow and is afflicted understands it and thinks, "Only Allah can remove my affliction," and tears flow. But the other person who presents successes around them and understands that only Allah is the one who can protect them from harm, who can harm me. Reading this brings joy to their face. So, the same thing has a different effect based on the state of the heart.

79 So the words that descended upon the Noble Prophet (peace be upon him) through the human communities that were within him created results and meanings, and with Gabriel because he was among the angels, when they came together, results were produced. And it is clear that different combinations produce different results. For example, if lime is placed on bricks, nothing happens, but if water is added, fire will be produced because the combination of lime and water creates this result. So despite the fact that what descended upon the Noble Prophet (peace be upon him) through Gabriel was understood as Gabriel, what the Noble Prophet (peace be upon him) received was not understood by them, so they could not understand it as the Noble Prophet (peace be upon him) understood, and that is why the Noble Prophet (peace be upon him) also gained virtue in this matter. It should also be remembered that not every human is superior to every angel. Specific humans are superior to specific angels, and those who are ordinary believers are superior to ordinary angels. The reason for this is that humans have wide responsibilities compared to angels, and a human is such that they can be placed in hell, but it is not the same for angels. They are compelled not to do evil, but humans can go both ways, they can do evil and they can do good, so a human who does good, whether they are of a moderate level of belief, they excel over ordinary angels...

80 The Angels of Allah Remaining Discourse (Delivered by Hazrat Khalifatul Masih II on December 29, 1921, at Masjid Tawar at around 9:00 PM) After the Tashahhud, Ta'awwuz, and recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah, he said: A companion asked why it should not be accepted that the qualities of objects are related to objects themselves and not beneath the influence of angels. What is the reason for accepting this? I have provided some evidence of the existence of angels and through them, the existence of angels has been proven. And when the existence of angels is proven, their need is automatically proven. And when something is proven with evidence, then it cannot be said that since there could be another reason for its possibility, why not accept the same reason. For example, the wind blows and lifts the paper, and the paper, through it, flies and lands on the table. But if you see someone placing the paper on the table, then the question cannot be asked why not accept that the paper flew by itself. So when the existence of angels is proven, then this possibility that the qualities of objects are related to objects themselves and not beneath the influence of angels becomes invalid. It is possible, and it happens, and the occurrence of an event...

Delta The Proof of Angels For example, it is often said that if Jesus did not ascend to the heavens, it is not because going to the heavens was impossible, but because there are evidences against it. Therefore, analogy cannot be applied. Analogy only works when there are no evidences. Analogy and possibility mean that there can be other possibilities, but it does not mean that all possibilities converge into one thing. So it was possible that the qualities of objects are related to the objects themselves, but it is proven through other evidences that it is not so, but rather the qualities are related to the angels. Then we do not say that objects do not have qualities. This is not our claim. Rather, our claim is that the initial mover of the manifestation of objects' qualities is the angels. Angels have authority and they influence the next causes. They influence the next and gradually their influence starts to appear on physical entities. Those who believe in God and accept that God has created matter, they must also believe that God has placed the qualities in them. Otherwise, they would have to believe that matter is uncreated, not created by God, but exists on its own and that God does not exist. If someone holds this belief, they must be convinced of the existence of angels before talking about angels. Then if someone is convinced of the existence of God but says that everything has come into being by itself, then something must be said about angels. Yes, when it is also accepted that God is the creator of everything, then the question arises about the existence of angels. So this question can be raised only when someone accepts the existence of God.

82 Acknowledge that Allah exists and He has created matter, otherwise not. This is the reason that in power, those who do not believe in the existence of God or do not consider matter as created do not believe in angels. So, first these matters will be decided, and then discussion can be held about angels. And when the discussion about angels takes place, along with it, the agreed-upon fact will be that the existence of God and the creation of matter are accepted, and when someone accepts these facts, it will also have to be believed that God Almighty has placed qualities in things, our claim is only that Allah Almighty did not directly place qualities in objects but through the means of angels. Because things are impure and God Almighty is subtle. And by observing the laws of nature, we are forced to conclude that God Almighty has appointed means to influence impure things. We see in all subtle things that for a connection to be established with impurity, means are required. Impure things cannot directly relate to subtlety. Just look at a human, in them, there is a heart, soul, or mind, something that makes a person do all things, and when it is not there, the person becomes lifeless. But that thing inside them does not command them to do this or not do that, but it affects very delicate nerves and gradually affects the branches ahead, and they affect a part, and it functions. For example, the eye does not directly give instructions to the soul or mind but by affecting very delicate nerves, gradually expresses its origin on it. The purpose is that as subtle things are, they establish a connection with impurity through means. So we say that it is God's...

83 The Angels of Allah If the existence of Allah is established and it is accepted that He is the Creator of all things, then it must also be acknowledged that the connection of everything with objects is through a medium, and this medium we call angels. But for one who does not believe in Allah or in Him being the Creator of all things, we will not present the discussion of angels before establishing that there is a God and He is the Creator of the world. And one who accepts this, upon looking at the laws of nature, will inevitably have to believe that there are subtle but created entities that are intermediaries between Allah and the manifest entities, and this is a fact proven through the lens of science. Science dictates that every effect has its causes. The subtle cause influences the gross cause, and it continues to influence the next and so forth. So we believe that the specific quality in the universe is due to and through causes. And the universe is composed of various elements; nothing is singular, all are interconnected. Within the universe, there is a special element whose effect is on steam, and the effect of this element is due to some hidden causes, and it keeps transferring towards the ultimate medium, which are the angels. And they receive blessings directly from Allah Almighty because He is the ultimate Creator. If this is not accepted, but it is said that everything has its inherent qualities, then it must also be believed that God is not the Creator of things. And if God is accepted as the Creator of things, then it must also be believed that the qualities in things are from Allah, and by observing the hidden causes of the qualities of objects, it must also be believed that Allah's command reaches them through these hidden causes, and the final link in this chain is the angels. And they are the ones who receive Allah's command directly because He is the original Creator. If this is not accepted, and it is said that everything has its inherent qualities, then it must also be believed that God is not the Creator of things.

84 The Progress of Angelic Influence Now, I explain that angelic influence progresses and as it progresses, it reaches a point where one angel becomes two. If someone does not understand, then let me explain that this means the powers increase. For instance, when a person is deemed more deserving by Allah Almighty, they are granted more power. It is as if two angels work within them. Their protection increases, then three, and so on. We also observe this in the laws of nature that when a person uses something correctly, their powers increase. For example, those who study sciences discover new things, and Allah Almighty has also mentioned this principle. "And those who strive for Us - We will surely guide them to Our ways." (Quran, Al-Ankabut: 69) When people walk on the path towards Allah Almighty, He shows them many paths. When they walk on a path that leads them closer to Allah, they are shown the ways of nearness and paths are revealed to them. This means that when they act in goodness, they are granted knowledge of new goodness and they implement it. And these are the kinds of goodness that were not even in their thoughts before, but those who strive in the way of Allah are informed about them. Thus, this is proven through the Quran. One place mentions that when a person walks on the path of Allah Almighty's guidance, they are shown paths of nearness and goodness, and they are guided to implement them. And these kinds of goodness that were not even in their thoughts are revealed to those who strive in the way of Allah.

85 Every soul has a guardian over it. (Surah At-Tariq: 5) It is stated that every human is appointed an angel who protects them from satanic influences and encourages good deeds. But from another verse, it is evident that when a person accepts the movements of this angel, they reach a level where Allah Almighty says that now Satan will not be with them and they are completely protected. And this protection, like the impact on a person's heart, occurs through various means, sometimes through the eyes, sometimes through the nose, sometimes through the ears, sometimes through the tongue; there are various means. Allah Almighty appoints protectors for all these means when a person accepts good deeds. Allah Almighty and the angels become their protectors who sit at the gates through which Satan tries to enter and influence the heart. Initially, there was one angel at all gates who would keep watch to ensure that Satan could not enter through any gate. Then, as progress is made, it reaches a point where an angel is appointed at every hole. Thus, Allah Almighty says: "For each one are successive [angels] before and behind him who protect him by the decree of Allah." (Surah Ar-Ra'd: 11) People have mistakenly understood this verse to be about every individual, but it actually mentions the Noble Prophet (peace be upon him). And the pronoun refers specifically to him. Allah Almighty says that this is such a servant of ours that protectors are appointed before and behind him. No satanic movement can reach him; every satanic movement that tries to approach him will stop at him and will not be able to reach him. It is known from this that each human is appointed only one angel, but the one who is Allah's...

Angels of Allah

86 The Special Proximity Angels of Allah have many for them. Hence, this subtle proof is also obtained from another place, and it becomes clear that as one progresses, a believer reaches a stage where angels sit at every hole, and it is said that when humans enter Paradise after death, angels will come from every door and greet them, saying, "Peace be upon you for what you have patiently endured. And excellent is the final home." (Quran, Ar-Ra'd: 24-25) Allah says: When a person enters Paradise on the Day of Judgment, an angel will come from every door and greet them, congratulating them on their success in the test they faced with Satan. At that time, both the angel and the human will be happy. So, an angel of each hole will pray for their safety. The point is whether there are many doors or not, it is a significant matter, and every human knows that there are many means to influence external things. Sometimes when a person sees wealth with their eyes, greed arises in their heart, and they become ready to steal. If their eyes did not see it, this thought would not arise in their heart. Sometimes

87 The Guardianship of Angels It is said that when a person hears that someone is wealthy, the thought of theft arises in their mind. If they did not hear it, this thought would not have arisen. Similarly, some thoughts arise through touching, some through smelling, and some through tasting. So, movements towards evil or goodness arise through these means, and through these paths, Satan enters the person. An angel is appointed for each person who protects them and does not allow any evil movement to enter. However, there is a difference between angels appointed for common and special individuals. The common protectors only prevent major movements from entering, but the protectors of special individuals not only prevent major movements but also make them good and allow them to enter. For example, when a person hears that someone is wealthy, instead of having the movement in their heart to steal their wealth, they have the movement in their heart that God should give them more and they should only engage in good deeds. The point is that every movement inside them turns into goodness, but these angels do not only prevent major movements from entering but also produce good effects outside the major movements. When talking about the prophets of God, when looking at them, touching them, or addressing them, angels continue to produce good effects in every situation. Perhaps someone may say that when someone sees someone's wealth and the thought of theft arises in their heart, it arises inside them, not outside. Therefore, angels are related to them.

88 Can Angels Protect? It is incorrect to assume that the thought of theft will arise independently. Any such thought will be triggered by an external stimulus, and the active entity will be external. However, it is also true that the evil thoughts of others can have an impact. The negative thoughts of one person can affect the heart of another. This impact occurs through touching, speaking, or sitting together, and this is scientifically proven. Hypnotism is a science. One person says to another, "Sleep, sleep," and starts imagining that they are asleep. When this thought strongly takes root in their heart, they actually fall asleep. Then it can be said that when they become rigid like wood, they indeed become so. If a support is placed crookedly under them without any support under their back, their back will not be straight. Similarly, if it is said that someone has turned into a cat, they will start meowing like a cat, or if it is said that they have become a sheep, they will start barking like a dog. Thus, the impact of one person's thoughts affects others. In this world, we see that such individuals exist whose negative impact is felt in the city where they live, in the village where they reside, and every person can experience that the impact of one person's thoughts is affecting others. Even children feel this impact. For instance, if children close their eyes and hide something and then start imagining that the boy has gone towards where the thing is hidden, he will actually walk there and upon reaching the thing, he will pick it up.

89 Once, a student studying in a government college, who held sincere beliefs in Hazrat Masih Ma'ud (peace be upon him), was sent to Hazrat Sahib. He expressed, "I used to have firm faith in God, but now doubts have crept into my heart." Hazrat Sahib instructed him, "Change the place where you sit in college." Consequently, he changed his place, and then it was revealed that no doubts arose anymore. When this was conveyed to Hazrat Sahib, he remarked, "The influence of a person who used to sit beside you was affecting you, and he was a skeptic. When you changed your place, the influence ceased, and doubts also disappeared. Even sitting next to a great person has an effect; without them saying a word, an impact is made. Sitting next to a righteous person has a positive effect; whatever they say has a good impact." Thus, thoughts influence each other in the world, but often go unnoticed. A person enters a gathering where someone harbors ill thoughts, and another person has good intentions. The former's thoughts affect the latter without their realization. However, when angels stand at every gate of theirs – hands, ears, nose, mouth, and eyes – such individuals entering a gathering do not have a significant impact. They only leave pure influences. Hence, the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) himself was pure, but when he sat to teach others in a gathering, he would seek forgiveness seventy times. Through this, he taught Muslims to do the same. Therefore, the impact of thoughts is indeed certain and proven. Those who are more righteous and pious have appointed angels at every gate that thoughts enter, who protect them from negative influences.

90 What is Meant by Satan? Now, I explain that even human evil thoughts are influenced by Satan according to Sharia. This does not mean that Satan does not exist because I am also convinced of the existence of angels and their influences. Therefore, my point is that Sharia also indicates that human thoughts are influenced by Satan, and the reason is that when evil thoughts arise in a person's heart, Satan takes advantage of it and enhances it. It is proven from the saying of the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) that he said, "There is a Satan for ablution, and his name is Walhan. His task is to waste water excessively." The statement of the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) does not mean that there is actually a Satan for ablution, but you have named the danger to the heart as Satan. The task of Satan is to distance people from Allah Almighty, not to have a connection with water. And Walhan means a thinker who has no thought other than one thought, and the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) has named such a state as Walhan, a Satan. The consequence of this state is that the person loses consciousness and instead of paying attention to prayer during ablution, they get lost in their thoughts and keep wasting water. Otherwise, in reality, Satan does not tell them to waste water because Satan is more concerned with other things.

91 The Influence of Satan in Prayer Similarly, the Noble Prophet (peace be upon him) said that there is also a Satan for prayer who instigates thoughts during prayer. A person once approached the Noble Prophet (peace be upon him) and expressed, "When I stand for prayer, various thoughts come to my heart." The Noble Prophet (peace be upon him) responded, "This is Satan, and his name is Khinzab." In reality, the Noble Prophet (peace be upon him) named the Satan of prayer as Khinzab. This is a compound word from "Kh" and "Nz" meaning calamities and afflictions. The Noble Prophet (peace be upon him) mentioned that worldly incidents attract humans towards themselves. If a person can choose seclusion in the world as much as possible, they can avoid this state. The term Satan is also used for evil thoughts of the heart. The mental and satanic states of humans result from the heart. Now, I explain that initially, the movement is not of the angel or Satan. The first movement, whether good or bad, originates from the person's heart because the Noble Prophet (peace be upon him) said that every human is born on the fitrah (natural disposition). It is understood from this that every human is born inclined towards goodness. Then, thoughts and companionship lead to the emergence of ideas in their hearts. To enhance these thoughts, the Muslim should seek refuge from Satan's whisperings in prayer. (Kitab al-Salam, Chapter: Seeking Refuge from Satan's Whisperings in Prayer)

92 When a person has good thoughts in their heart, Allah also appoints a guardian angel for them. Conversely, when evil thoughts begin to arise in their heart, a devil takes control over them. It is evident that goodness and evilness originate in the human heart. The initial movement is influenced by external factors. If it is a good movement, the angels associate with it, and if it is an evil movement, evil spirits establish a connection. Therefore, it is essential to consider the source of both these movements. Many people inquire about how to achieve spiritual development. The answer to this is that spiritual progress is attained by introspecting one's heart. Spiritual advancement involves recognizing the highest levels and stages, and the means to achieve this is for a person to observe that their heart is filled with good inclinations. (Kitab al-Salam, Chapter: Explanation of Spiritual Progress)

93 Do Good Deeds Lead to More Movements or Evil? If good deeds lead to more movements, then understand that angels appointed by Allah are advancing them. So, instead of assessing your prayers, fasts, and charities to see how much progress you have made, you should observe what movements occur in your heart. Does your heart command you to offer more prayers, fast more, and engage in more goodness or not? If your heart does not command, then understand that what you are doing is merely an initial effort, a habit, or a show, not a divine act. If someone leaves five obligatory prayers and performs additional voluntary prayers but dislikes prayer in their heart, then realize that they have not yet reached a level where angels are associated with them. It is possible that they are not even at the stage of initial effort but are habitually following others or imitating them. And if they have not yet succeeded in action but good movements are emerging in their heart, then understand that angels are establishing a connection with them. So, do not assess your state through your prayers, fasts, etc., but look at what is in your heart. Nations whose hearts are corrupted, no matter how apparently strong they are, fall. Look at Russia; it was a mighty empire, but due to the prophecy concerning it, the hearts of those people were corrupted, and the entire empire collapsed. Even though it was initially perceived as a powerful government. Therefore, a person should not decide on their state based on their prayers, fasts, and alms to see how much progress they have made in goodness and piety, but should look at what is in their heart.

Original source:View on Alislam.org
Page 99

94 Look at what is inside you to gauge your goodness and piety. If good movements are increasing in your heart, understand that the wings of angels that fall upon you are growing, even if some sins have not yet left you. And if evil movements are increasing in your heart, even if you are doing good deeds, realize that your connection is strengthening with Satan. Praying more or fasting more are not signs of faith. You should look into your hearts and study them. People's concern about you is to analyze your actions, but your concern should be to study your heart. The comparison between heavenly and satanic moments is a significant principle. Now, I will explain a fundamental principle to determine whether Satan's influence is more in your movements or that of angels. I previously mentioned that whether the movements are evil or good, they are your own. They do not belong to angels or Satan. Therefore, you should observe your heart and determine whose influence is stronger on you. First, if you see that initially good thoughts arise in your heart and then evil ones, understand that the connection with angels is stronger than with Satan. The angel wants to enhance their connection with you, but Satan puts obstacles in it. So, always when a bad thought arises, see if a good thought had arisen in you before or not. If it had, then the connection of angels with you is much stronger.

95 Regarding the Influence of Satan For instance, you come to pray, but whispers distract you, then it is evident that you have a stronger connection with Satan. You come to do good, yet Satan begins to corrupt it. Secondly, if you notice that when a bad thought arises in your heart, a good thought also emerges alongside it. For example, you think of going to the mosque to see others praying and then the thought arises that you should pray to Allah alone. In such a situation, understand that your connection with angels is not as strong, yet the angels did not completely abandon you. When they saw an opportunity, they intervened to guide you towards goodness. In this state, a person is secure because the angels did not sever their bond of love with them. The first level was that they uplifted them while Satan pulled them down. The second was that when the person started sinking, the angels saved them. If a person is in this state, they should realize that they are at a position where they can progress without reaching the limit of despair. Thirdly, the most delicate level is when you feel the movement of evil but not the movement of goodness. Hours and days pass by, yet the zeal against the evil movement does not arise. If this is the case, understand that the angels have completely left you, and you have fallen entirely into the grip of Satan. These three levels are those in which the movement of evil is equal to or greater than that of goodness, and at one level, the individual must be very vigilant. Above these three levels, there are two more levels.

Page 101

Angels of Allah

96 The Angels of Allah There are different levels in which the influence of angelic and satanic impulses is felt by humans, but the angelic impulse predominates, and they are as follows:

1. Initially, good thoughts arise, followed by bad thoughts. When this situation occurs, it should be understood that angels are not entirely absent, but the primary connection is with angels, and Satan is only exerting effort to hinder progress.

2. The second situation is when good thoughts arise first, and then bad thoughts follow, but the emergence of bad thoughts is minimal, or different types of good movements are present in the heart while some are not. Regarding this situation, it should be understood that the connection with angels is strong, and that of Satan is weak. A door has been left open for them. When a person progresses beyond this, they are entirely secure from satanic attacks. Through these five means, it can be determined whether a person is advancing in evil or progressing in goodness. Now the question arises: which movement is more dominant within a person, angelic movements or satanic ones? And which paths are more open for a person, the paths of angels or Satan? This also leads to the question of whether God has provided more means for human progress or for going astray. A mistake has been made by the Sufis, or rather, it should be said that a technical, terminological mistake has been made, not a real mistake. They misunderstood the concept, and it should be understood that there is only one path for angels and many doors for Satan to enter humans, but this is incorrect. Firstly, from the perspective of the law of nature, this statement is incorrect. Secondly, even from the perspective of the Holy Quran, it is incorrect.

Original source:View on Alislam.org
Page 102

Angels of Allah

97 Angels of Allah It is known through the law of nature that human thoughts are influenced by external factors. For instance, a person's mind entertains thoughts of theft when they see something outside, and the same applies to conversations. It is also evident that the same means that trigger negative thoughts in a person also trigger positive thoughts. For example, where seeing something may trigger the thought of stealing, seeing the same thing may evoke the thought of helping a poor person. Similarly, touching, seeing, and smelling have similar effects. It is understood from this that everything can be used for both good and bad purposes. Therefore, just as Satan can enter through certain means, angels also enter and promote goodness through the same means. Furthermore, this notion is proven wrong from the Quran that there are many paths for Satan to mislead but only one path for angels. They have misunderstood this due to the verse: "And, [moreover], this is My path, which is straight, so follow it; and do not follow [other] ways, for you will be separated from His way" (Quran, Al-An'am: 153). Allah instructs to follow His straight path and not deviate into different paths. They will lead you astray. It is understood from this that there is only one path of Allah and many paths of Satan, but they have misunderstood the meaning of this verse. Firstly, even in the Quran, Allah has stated, "And those who strive for Us - We will surely guide them to Our ways" (Quran, Al-Ankabut: 69), that those who strive for Allah will be guided to His paths.

Original source:View on Alislam.org
Page 103

Angels of Allah

98 The Angels of Allah Angels strive to show humans various paths. It is evident that there are also different paths for goodness. The answer to this verse is that it does not necessitate accepting many religions to reach God. Only Islam is a religion through which a person can reach God. However, Islam has shown countless paths of spiritual progress. So, this verse negates the notion that Satan has many misleading paths. Sometimes it incites one to become Christian, sometimes Aryan, or accept some other false religion. God has not done this; rather, God has established one religion. Yes, that religion contains many paths. Due to not understanding this, the Sufis have made a mistake. In reality, the mercy of Allah is vast compared to the misleading ways of Satan. Thus, Allah says, "My mercy encompasses all things" (Quran, Al-A'raf: 156). Now, I come to the question: if there are also more means for the movement of goodness, then why are there more satanic people in the world than others? This proves that the satanic influences are more than the angelic influences. It should be remembered concerning this that the comparison between satanic and angelic movements should not be made in a way that more significant people are considered or the good ones, but it should be done in a way that the movement of goodness is more dominant in every person or that of evil. It is understood by observing this that the movement of goodness is more prominent in every individual or that of evil.

Angels of Allah

99 Angels of Allah It is said that most of people's actions are more inclined towards goodness than evil. And evil is only more noticeable because it stands out due to its apparent nature. Therefore, the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said that at one time, all people will emerge from Hell. (Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal, Volume 6, Page 102, Footnote)

A person who steals may be called a great sinner and a bad person, but there will be other faults that they do not have, and there will be good deeds found in them. It seems that there will be many virtues in them and stealing will be a sin. And there will be no person in whom there are more evils and fewer virtues. So, goodness is more prevalent in the world, and evil is less. But since everyone's attention is drawn to evil, it appears more prominent. An example of this is that if a person has only a cut on their nose and the rest of their features are perfect, then only the nose will be noticed, and the beauty of the other features will not be seen. So, there are more virtues, but people's attention is drawn to evil, so it is considered more prominent. Now, I will explain how an angel moves in the heart and what means it uses to move.

It is known from personal experience and the experience of those close to Allah who have been given knowledge that when a person does a good deed, the kingdom creates love for that deed in their heart. And when a person decides to walk on the path of goodness, the kingdom keeps informing them of every opportunity that arises so they can benefit from it. This does not mean that the kingdom forces a person to do good deeds.

Chapter 100 Angels of Allah He compels them to do good deeds but keeps informing them. Another means of moving the kingdom is to increase knowledge. This results in the generation of good deeds in humans, which are considered good if performed. This is also considered a good deed. However, the real source of goodness is the heart where the kingdom sheds light and guidance. Angels do not make humans do good deeds but make it easy for them to do so. For example, when a respected person passes by many people, and those people guide them forward, it does not mean they are leading them. The respected person is walking on their own, but those people make it easy for them to walk. Angels also create such means for humans to easily do good deeds. Similarly, Satan does not force anyone to commit evil, but when a person commits one evil, Satan presents another in front of them, and when they commit the second one, then the third. It continues like this. For instance, while walking, a thought arises to steal. Upon this thought, Satan diverts attention towards another person, saying that person is wealthy. It is as if Satan's only job is to give advice. Not to grip the heart. Therefore, whatever good or evil a person does, it is their own deed. The kingdom or Satan only incites. The third means is that the angel takes a person to a place where the movement of goodness can be generated. It is then up to the person to achieve this movement in their heart.

Chapter 101 Angels of Allah Now, another question arises. When a person receives help from angels or Satan, good deeds are attributed to angels, and bad deeds to Satan. So, if a person commits evil, assuming that it was due to evil, but Satan also assisted in it, then it should be understood that the person is not sinful when Satan instigates and they resist acting upon it. However, if they act upon it, then it becomes a sin. For instance, a person came to the Noble Prophet (peace be upon him) and said, "Evil thoughts come to my heart that I fear my tongue may utter. I do not wish to express them." The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "This is the light of faith. The satanic impulse that arises is not a sin. If a person experiences a temptation in their heart and resists it, they are not sinful." This is also evident from the Quran where Allah says, "Whether you show what is within yourselves or conceal it, Allah will bring you to account for it" (Quran, Al-Baqarah: 285). It is mentioned here that mere thoughts do not incur punishment; however, if one harbors and acts upon them, they will be held accountable. Therefore, satanic impulses cannot be deemed unjust because they do not have a grip. Such an impulse may occur a thousand times, and if a person does not yield to it, they are not sinful but continue to receive rewards. Now, the question arises: how does Satan's impulse occur, and in what form does Satan incite?

It should be understood that when a person is virtuous and has not surrendered themselves to Satan but is connected with angels, then Satan's influence is not present. Their connection is solely with angels. It is the angels who inspire goodness, not Satan.

102 Angels of Allah Satan attempts to mislead through movements. Yes, when one falls into Satan's grip, they are misled through significant movements. I will explain this further that Satan's movements have two branches: one of goodness and the other of evil. It should be noted that a movement may seem outwardly good but lead to evil consequences, and sometimes a movement may be good and result in goodness. So, when you start acting on a movement, think about its consequences. For example, a good movement occurred that so-and-so brother does not pray. Understand this, but when you start explaining, choose the way where many people are sitting and tell him that he is a hypocrite for refusing to pray. This movement was good, but its consequence will be that when he is told this in front of many people, he will outright deny praying. Hazrat Khalifah (may Allah be pleased with him) used to hear that his son-in-law was a Wahhabi. A chief came to meet him with his pajamas below his ankles. He rubbed a miswak on his ankles and said, "You are a person of Hell for wearing your pajamas like this." Upon this,

103 Angels of Allah The leader insulted and said, "I do not believe in God and the Messenger. Who are they?" Hazrat Khalifah Awwal then said to his son-in-law, "You have given good advice that has made him a disbeliever. An outwardly good movement may seem good but its outcome turns out to be bad. This movement does not come from the kingdom. The kingdom will only perform a movement whose outcome is also good. Since the movement of angels occurs under the command of Allah, it cannot produce a bad result. When a movement occurs, where it seems good, also consider whether its outcome will be good or not. If the outcome is bad, then understand that it is from Satan, not from the kingdom. However, if the outcome is good, then it will be from the kingdom. Another way to compare the movement of angels and Satan is that the movement of angels is balanced, but the movement of Satan is not like that. Satan may do a good deed, but his intention is to divert from a greater good. For example, during congregational prayer, the thought arises to pray a voluntary prayer. Now, if there is no concern for joining the congregation and the voluntary prayer is performed, this will be a satanic movement because a greater good was abandoned for a lesser good. When Sir Sayyid Ahmad Sahib was asked why he does not pray, he replied that this act is also part of the religion that I practice. Observing his actions made it seem like he had disappeared into it. It could not be said that he performed this act considering it bad. He did it with good intentions, but by sacrificing a greater good for a lesser good, he gave up the major one. Therefore, this act cannot be attributed to the movement of angels. Sometimes, a satanic movement may also seem good but by abandoning a greater good for a lesser

104 Angels of Allah Goodness is encouraged. Shah Wali Allah Sahib narrates an incident about his family where one woman used to mention Allah a lot, and her brother would stop her and advise her to pray more. She replied, "I find great pleasure in it." To this, he said, "This is a satanic temptation. Eventually, following the Sunnah and then the obligatory prayers, Satan will be repelled. After some time, the sister informed her brother that now even the Sunnah prayers were being enjoyed, and he should suggest a remedy. He asked her to recite "La hawla wala quwwata illa billah." Eventually, a closed door was revealed to him, where he said, "I am Satan. If you had not recited 'La hawla wala quwwata illa billah' and your brother had not advised you, I would have even repelled the obligatory prayers." The purpose of Satan's movement is sometimes presented in the form of goodness, but the hierarchy is not considered. There is a comparison in every law of Allah, and every small thing is sacrificed against a big thing. But where a big thing starts to be sacrificed for a small thing, understand that it is a satanic movement. This temptation is very common. Hence, some people ask, "Can progress be made without education?" Therefore, education should come first, and then the work of preaching should begin. Therefore, whatever amount can be collected should be spent on education. The one who answers this question cannot say that education is not good, so it should not be arranged. Therefore, he is generally affected by this question. But as I have mentioned, this is a temptation because education is like an adornment, which is an additional thing for religion. Surely, it is

Chapter 105 Angels of Allah It is essential to consider the concept of angels of Allah, but spending everything on it is like preparing a meal to keep ten people alive, cooking the meal for one person, and letting the rest die. It is better to strive to bring people into spiritual life rather than leaving the great work for minor tasks. Regarding comparison, the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) made a subtle reference. He was asked how to distinguish between halal (permissible) and haram (forbidden). He said, "Sin is what bothers your heart." It should be asked from the heart whether something is permissible. If scholars of the whole world keep saying that a certain thing is impermissible, but your heart gives a fatwa that it is permissible, then it will be considered permissible. This is not about matters where the decision of permissibility or impermissibility has been made by Sharia but about matters that may seem good in some aspects and bad in others. If the heart does not agree to do such a thing, then it should not be done. For example, if a scholar is asked about something, he may say it is good. But if leaving the voluntary prayers is for his own benefit, then they should not be left. This will be a matter of his own heart. Only the heart can make that decision. Or for example, someone may say, "Why should I bear someone's burden or give a gift to someone?" An 'Alim (scholar) will say it is good. But if the intention behind giving the gift is to influence someone's heart or to have a hold over them, then even if a fatwa is obtained that it is permissible, the intention at the time of obtaining that fatwa will matter. This decision can only be made by the heart. For instance, if someone asks, "Why should progress be made without education?" Therefore, education should come first, and then the work of preaching should begin. Therefore, whatever amount can be collected should be spent on education. The one who answers this question cannot say that education is not good, so it should not be arranged. Therefore, he is generally affected by this question. But as I have mentioned, this is a temptation because education is like an adornment, which is an additional thing for religion. Surely, it is. (Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal, Volume 4, Page 227)

Chapter 106 Angels of Allah It is essential to consider the concept of angels of Allah, but it will be the heart that will know. At that time, one should only follow what their heart deems right, which will be free from any wrongdoing. One should not adhere to the fatwa. The Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "Even if someone gives you a fatwa to do something, but if any negative aspect arises in your heart, then you should not do it and leave it. There is a difference between the movements of the kingdom and Satan. The third difference is that the movement of the kingdom progresses step by step. It is like a child who is first lifted by the mother to walk. Then the mother holds and guides the child to walk slowly. In this way, the child gradually learns to walk. However, the example of Satan's movement would be like throwing a child into the air and making them fall. Or the difference between the movements of the kingdom and Satan can be explained as follows: whoever is willing to do good will start it and then progress slowly. But if an enemy is the teacher, they will immediately teach such a difficult lesson that the student will run away and refuse to learn. So, the movement of the kingdom will progress step by step, and no burden will be imposed suddenly, and no rush will be made in any matter. However, when someone is burdened suddenly and acts hastily, it should be understood that it is not the movement of the kingdom but rather a satanic movement. For example, Satan may incite in such a way that today you become a saint and pray all day and keep fasts all year. But if someone acts upon it, the result will be that they will run away in anger, leaving prayers and fasts completely. This is why when the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) found out that some people prayed Tahajjud all night and kept fasts all day, he did not approve of it and said, "This is

Chapter 107 Angels of Allah It is not virtuous to treat the rights of others in such a way that you either harm them or do good gradually. First take one step, then another, and then a third; this is a sign of divine movement. However, satanic movement desires to make one do a task suddenly. For instance, a person who does not give charity for the sake of religion might be tempted to say, "Next month, I will donate all my wealth as charity." Since this is not their true desire, when they do give, they will feel regret, and when regret sets in, Satan will take hold of them, leading them astray. The satanic movement will push them towards impulsive actions and burden them heavily. Initially, they may act as if they will meet God today, but when this does not happen, it will create despair in their heart. Many people recite prayers for a week and then claim they have not found God. Some individuals recite prayers for a few days and wish to meet the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him), although these are all satanic whispers. When a person becomes worthy of seeing Allah Almighty and the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him), only then will they see. Just as you can discern the difference between a genuine desire and a satanic whisper, the outcome will be that when a person does not achieve what they hoped for, they become despondent and eventually abandon everything. There are people who recite prayers for a few days and then desire to meet the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him), even though these are all satanic whispers. Chapter 108 Angels of Allah The fourth distinction lies in the fact that some matters may be ambiguous. That is, thoughts may arise that could be good or bad. When a movement is initiated by the angels, it will be such that ambiguous matters are left aside and not implemented. However, satanic movements will involve engaging a person in one task and then diverting them to another task. The purpose of Satan is to distract one engaged in a good deed. When a person is engaged in a good deed, Satan will try to distract them and make them switch to another task. The intention behind this is for Satan to divert one from a good deed. It is important to note that when a person is engaged in a good deed, they should be left alone to continue with it. The third distinction is that movements from the kingdom progress as the person progresses. For example, when a person is engaged in prayer, they will be guided to recite more and improve gradually. On the other hand, satanic movements involve distracting a person from what they are doing and making them switch abruptly to another task. The purpose of Satan is to burden a person suddenly and rush them into actions. This sudden burden may lead to despair when the desired outcome is not achieved. Many individuals may engage in prayers or acts of worship for a short period and then feel disheartened when their expectations are not met. These feelings of disappointment are often influenced by satanic whispers. It is crucial to differentiate between genuine desires and satanic temptations. Only when a person is truly deserving will they achieve the spiritual goals they seek. Angels of Allah

Chapter 109 Angels of Allah It is said that Abraham, Moses, David, and other prophets were sinners, so the rank of Christ is higher than all of them. But this is just like someone saying that so-and-so, who is lying dead, is more powerful in comparison. This is how Satan creates the illusion in people's minds that by humiliating others in the eyes of a person, they feel superior and proud, leading to their destruction. Sometimes, there is no distinction in comparing virtues. That is, sometimes it happens that a greater virtue is sacrificed for a lesser one. But sometimes it happens that virtues are the same, but one is preferred over the other, completely neglecting the other. For example, a person engaged in preaching may be tempted by Satan to say, "Why do you need to give charity for the sake of religion? The work you are doing is enough." Or the one who gives charity may be told, "Preaching is not necessary, just keep giving charity." But the angel says that preaching is also a virtue, so do it, and giving charity is also a virtue, so do that too. The eighth point is very dangerous, that when a person starts doing a good deed and such a person is of a lower status, Satan puts the thought in their heart that people will say they are doing it for show, so they shouldn't do it. For example, when such a person starts going to the mosque to pray, Satan puts the thought in their heart that people will see them and say they are also a worshipper, and this way it will become a show, so they shouldn't go to the mosque. In this way, Satan will prevent them from congregational prayers. But the movement that comes from the angels includes the etiquette of Shariah.

Chapter 110 Angels of Allah It is noted that a believer should be cautious of satanic movements. In such situations, one should remind oneself that regardless of what others may say, I must adhere to the commands of Shariah and not be concerned about such matters. It is crucial for a believer to exercise caution in all situations where it seems that attention is not being paid to a virtue, as it may be perceived as a satanic movement. In such cases, it is essential to understand that the believer's path is to follow the commands of Allah Almighty. When faced with such situations, one should not let satanic movements be perceived as more forceful and should not be swayed by them. For instance, if someone gives charity but refrains from preaching, and the thought arises that preaching is unnecessary, then more emphasis is placed on preaching. Similarly, if someone engages in preaching but feels reluctant to give charity, then more emphasis should be placed on charity. The eighth point is quite perilous, as when a person of lower status begins a good deed, Satan may plant the idea in their heart that people will perceive it as a show, and they should refrain from doing it. For example, if such a person starts going to the mosque for prayers, Satan may suggest that people will see them and consider it a show of worship, leading them to avoid congregational prayers. However, movements guided by angels include adherence to the etiquettes of Shariah. Hazrat Masih-e-Ma'ud (as) used to narrate that once Hazrat Muawiya did not wake up for the morning prayer, and when he finally did, he realized that the prayer time had passed, causing him to weep all day.

Chapter 111 Angels of Allah On the second day, they saw in a dream that a man came and woke them up for prayer. They asked, "Who are you?" He replied, "I am Satan who has come to wake you up for prayer." They asked, "What is the connection between you waking us up for prayer?" He said, "Yesterday, when I made you sleep and you kept sleeping, unable to offer prayers, you cried all day. Allah said, 'Give him more reward for depriving him of prayer in congregation.' I was hurt by this, that by depriving you of prayer, you received more reward. Today, I have come to wake you up so that you do not gain more reward anywhere. Satan leaves when a person resists him. If one continues to resist, they become despondent and leave. It is proven by Islam that Satan becomes despondent. Now, I will tell you that Satan can use his movements in the color of goodness, and one transforms into the color of goodness. It should be remembered that there are two types of effects of Satan. One is general effects like creating bad thoughts that affect others as well. These thoughts affect everyone, even the Noble Prophet (peace be upon him). Another point is that perhaps someone may have a doubt in their heart that angels, by obtaining grace from Allah Almighty, bring humans to Him. Satan obtains grace from someone and then influences people. So, the answer is that those who give to others need a treasure and a treasury. The thief does not need any treasure because his job is not to give but to steal. Therefore, he does not need a treasure or treasury, nor does he obtain grace from anyone.

Chapter 112 Angels of Allah Whether they accept it or not, they will read it for sure. There are other special effects that affect those who are not protected from Satan or have fallen under his influence. Those who accept these effects do not remain protected, and those who do not accept benefit from them. Satan introduces bad influences, but he transforms them into goodness instead of teaching evil. The way this happens is that Satan's attack occurs through emotions. He provokes them, and they become troubled by evil. However, if a person strengthens their willpower, the more their willpower increases, the more they will excel in goodness. When the willpower is weak, a person falls under the influence of satanic movements. For example, illicit desires or love for wealth arise. Now, if the willpower is weak, the person will misuse these emotions. But if the willpower is strong, they will use them in the right place and manner. So, by increasing willpower, a person can benefit from the evil movements of Satan. Therefore, the Noble Prophet (peace be upon him) said that he also does the same. Once, the Noble Prophet (peace be upon him) said to the companions that there is none among you for whom Satan is not appointed. The companions asked, "Even you? Are you not protected?" He replied, "Yes, I am also like that, but Allah has given me strength, and I have overcome Satan. When he teaches me something, he teaches only goodness, not evil." (Sahih Muslim, Book of the Description of the Day of Judgment, Paradise, and Hell, Chapter: Incitement of Satan and His Troops)

Chapter 113 Angels of Allah The temptation of people, and with every person, there is a close connection. This Hadith does not mean that each person has a specific Satan appointed to them, and the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) was moved by Satan towards goodness. If he was a separate entity and left the movement of evil to start the movement of goodness, then how did he become Satan? Then he became an angel. If it is said that he was initially Satan but when he started the movement of goodness, then he became an angel, this is also incorrect because the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) referred to him as Satan even when mentioning his movement towards goodness. If the answer is given that the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) named him Satan due to his initial state, then the answer is that if he had left Satanism, this great effect would have occurred within him through Muhammad, the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him). So, you yourself say, "I have control over it. Allah Almighty has given me control over it." So, his Islam was through the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him). Then where did he get this status from that he started doing good deeds in the heart of the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him)? Because the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "He makes me do good deeds." So, these meanings are incorrect. And there are other meanings as well, which are that he has general effects like Satan's effects that fall on every person, and no one can remain protected from them. Regarding them, the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) said that when such an effect of Satan falls on me, it turns into goodness. An example of this is like dirty water passing through a filter becomes clean. Similarly, when the evil effect falls on the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him), it turns into goodness through you. Or the example of this is like the first ox that grinds the sugarcane, when it passes through it, it becomes sweet.

Chapter 114 Angels of Allah When a grain is sown, the sprout emerges on one side, and the husk falls on the other side. Similarly, when a matter is presented to the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) that is impure, the impure part is separated, and the rest remains pure. This is why you have named your Satan as a Muslim. The purpose is to also utilize satanic movements for good. Now, I will tell you the last point, and that is how the movement of an angel can be enhanced. It should be observed what the fundamental rule is for the growth in the law of nature. It will be understood with a little contemplation that this rule is to use it intentionally. Look, people start eating a little bit of lentils at the beginning. Eventually, they digest a whole bowl. If someone else eats a little lentil, their life may be in danger. But since they gradually make it a habit, they do not suffer any harm. Similarly, the strength of the body. Those who do manual labor develop thick and strong hands. Those who develop the habit of overeating finish the food of four or five or even eight to ten people alone. So, the more something is used, the more it grows. This is the case with the movement of angels. The more a person accepts and utilizes their movement, the more the movement of angels can be accepted. The more a person keeps accepting and using it, the more the movement of angels can be attracted. A question may arise here, and that is in physical matters, it happens that if someone eats more, they will eat the food of four or five or even eight to ten people, or they will not eat the food of a thousand people. Is there a limit set for the movements of angels that they cannot be accepted beyond?

Original source:View on Alislam.org
Page 120

Angels of Allah

Chapter 115 Angels of Allah It should be understood that this comparison is not with Christ because the human body is for a few days, and the comparison of the body and soul is as that of a guide and not in totality. Since the body is for a limited time, its powers are limited. But since the soul is eternal, its powers are also unlimited. And because the spiritual power is always in use, Allah Almighty has provided unlimited means for its growth. And because the physical power is finite as it ends with the body's end, limited means have been set for its growth. This is proven by Allah Almighty's creation. It is a proven fact that all physical powers are limited. They can increase up to a certain limit and cannot go beyond that. For example, the stomach will grow to a certain extent and cannot go beyond that. Similarly, the chest will also grow to a certain extent. The head also has a limit to its growth. It is not that it will keep growing until it reaches the size of a grain or a height of twenty feet or more. So, the extent of physical things has a set limit. But the powers related to spirituality never end. For example, the particles that keep thoughts secure in the brain, the more they are increased, the more they grow. And no matter how great a scholar one becomes, these particles will not end, and this power will keep increasing because it is related to spirituality. And the connection between the body and soul is through the brain. But the stomach, etc.

Angels of Allah

Chapter 116 Angels of Allah It is not limited to them. The more a person works like the angels, the more their strength increases. Another point known from the Quran is a general rule, and everyone can understand that "Those who obey Allah's commands and do what they are commanded" (At-Tahrim: 7). They do not disobey the command of God. They also fulfill the command they receive. When a person manifests this quality within themselves, they establish a connection with the angels. Some may say this is the work of great people, what can small individuals do? But there are means even for such individuals. Describing these means, I first take the example mentioned by Hazrat Masih-e-Ma'ud. The first means mentioned by Hazrat Sahib is that when Gabriel descends upon a person, it becomes evident because from their eyes, hands, nose, mouth, the purpose is that from every part of their body, radiant beams emanate that affect hearts, and thus the angelic realm continues to descend directly upon the person. This is proven from the Quran where Allah says, "Be with the truthful" (At-Tawbah: 119). This means establish a connection with the truthful so that the impact of Gabriel falls upon them.

Original source:View on Alislam.org
Page 122

Angels of Allah

Chapter 112 Angels of Allah This will also bring you comfort. Another way is that when a person is lifted, what is the means for that? It is that someone comes, holds the other, and provides support. Similarly, when Gabriel descends, those who stand up are supported by him. Another means is that blessings are sent upon the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him), and this is also known from the Quran. Thus, Allah says, "Indeed, Allah and His angels send blessings upon the Prophet; O you who have believed, ask [ Allah to confer] blessing upon him and ask [ Allah to grant him] peace." (Al-Ahzab: 56)

Allah and His angels are continuously sending blessings upon this Prophet, and when they send blessings, O believers, it is also your duty to send blessings. A question may arise regarding how it is known that as a result of this, a connection is established with the angels. The proof of this is also found in the Quran. Allah says, "O you who have believed, remember Allah with much remembrance. And exalt Him morning and afternoon. It is He who confers blessing upon you, and His angels [ask Him to do so] that He may bring you out from darknesses into the light." (Al-Ahzab: 42-43)

O believers! Remember Allah abundantly. And glorify Him morning and evening. He is the one who sends blessings upon you, and His angels, so that He may take you out of darkness into light. It has been commanded in one place that since Allah and His angels send blessings upon this Prophet, you should also send blessings. And in another place, it is stated that Allah and His angels send blessings upon you. According to the first verse, it was necessary here too that since Allah and His angels send blessings upon you, you should also send blessings to one another.

Original source:View on Alislam.org

Angels of Allah

Chapter 118 Angels of Allah However, this was not said. It is clear that the first thing had the color of a separate command. That is, since Allah and His angels send blessings upon this Messenger, you should also send blessings. But for the believers, it was said that we and the angels send blessings upon them. It was not said here to send blessings to your brothers. The purpose of this verse has proven that sending blessings upon the Noble Prophet (peace be upon him) establishes a connection with the angels. So, those who send blessings upon the Noble Prophet (peace be upon him) will establish a relationship with his angels, and thus a connection will be formed with them. This is why the righteous have considered sending blessings upon the Noble Prophet (peace be upon him) as a great act. And the Noble Prophet (peace be upon him) said that a supplication that does not include the praise of Allah and blessings upon me will not be accepted. This means that a supplication that includes the praise of Allah and blessings upon the Noble Prophet (peace be upon him) will be more accepted. It should be observed that the things in the world are of one kind, and they have a strong connection with each other.

Angels of Allah

Chapter 119 Angels of Allah Allah Almighty says: "Say, 'If there were upon the earth angels walking securely, We would have sent down to them from the heaven an angel [as a] messenger.'" (Al-Isra: 96) If there were angels in the world, we would also send down angels as messengers. It is as if Allah Almighty says that if people progress to become like angels, then we would send angels upon them. Meaning that by becoming like angels, they would descend. Now we need to see how a person can become like angels.

The first way to resemble angels is to spread the message of Allah's prophets in the world. Allah Almighty says: "So when I have proportioned him and breathed into him of My [created] soul, then fall down to him in prostration." (Al-Hijr: 30) It means, O angels! When I create a human and he reaches his perfection, and I reveal my word to him, then you should help him in every way and obey him completely. It is as if being with the Prophet and spreading his mission is the work of angels. Now when a person is with the Prophet and spreads his message, they will become like angels, and thus angels will start communicating with them and establish a connection with them.

Another way that maintains a connection with angels is to spread the message of monotheism. Because Allah Almighty says about angels: "Allah witnesses that there is no deity except Him, and [so do] the angels and those of knowledge - [that He is] maintaining [creation] in justice. There is no deity except Him, the Exalted in Might, the Wise." (Al-Imran: 19) Allah testifies to the oneness of God, and so do the angels. It is evident that spreading the message of monotheism is also the work of angels, and those who do this work will be like them and establish a connection with them. This proves that spreading the message of monotheism is a great act, as the righteous have considered sending blessings upon the Prophet as a great act. And the Prophet said that a supplication without praising Allah and sending blessings upon him will not be accepted. This means that a supplication that includes praising Allah and sending blessings upon the Prophet will be more accepted. It should be observed that the things in the world are of one kind, and they have a strong connection with each other.

Chapter 120 Angels of Allah They can also benefit from them. And we see here that those who falsely propagate the Oneness of God also benefit from them. In India, the progress made by the communities of Ram Mohan Roy and Pandit Dayanand was not achieved by other Hindus. The reason is that they are staunch believers in the Oneness of God and propagate it. So, a person who is zealous about the Oneness of Allah receives great blessings from the angels. The third way to resemble angels is that the movement in a person's heart forgives and overlooks and abandons ill feelings. The more this habit increases, the more the movement of angels increases. Forgiving others' mistakes and taking action with forgiveness attracts angels towards oneself. Why? Because Allah Almighty says, "And seek forgiveness for those who have believed" (Al-Mu'minun: 118). Angels seek forgiveness for the sins of the believers. When a person enhances this quality within themselves, they establish a connection with the angels, and the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) also affirms this. Therefore, those who pray for their brothers, the angels pray for them. So, forgiving others' sins and not becoming thin-skinned is a means of establishing a connection with the angels. Another way to resemble angels, which is the fourth measure to establish a connection with angels, is to glorify and praise. Allah Almighty has instructed angels to glorify and praise. It is evident that glorifying and praising is also the work of angels, and those who do this work will resemble them and establish a connection with them. This proves that glorifying and praising is a great act, just as the righteous have considered sending blessings upon the Prophet as a great act. And the Prophet said that a supplication without praising Allah and sending blessings upon him will not be accepted. This means that a supplication that includes praising Allah and sending blessings upon the Prophet will be more accepted. It should be observed that the things in the world are of one kind, and they have a strong connection with each other.

Chapter 121 Angels of Allah "Those [angels] who carry the Throne and those around it exalt [ Allah ] with praise of their Lord" (Az-Zumar: 76). When those who exalt and praise are also exalted by angels, a special connection is formed. This is also evidenced by the sayings of the Noble Prophet (peace be upon him). He mentioned that where there is mention of Allah, angels descend. This is also found in the Quran and is confirmed in the Hadith. It is proven that the Noble Prophet (peace be upon him) derived these teachings from the Quran. Due to your vast and comprehensive knowledge, you elaborated on these matters in great detail. When I mentioned the exaltation and praise of Allah, I indicated the work of angels, and it is known from the Hadith that those who perform these deeds become similar to angels and establish a connection with them. The Noble Prophet (peace be upon him) stated that where there is mention of Allah, angels descend, meaning they bestow their blessings at that place. A few years ago, I delivered a lecture on the remembrance of Allah. A non-Ahmadi friend, who was not an Ahmadi at that time, shared with me that I am a living testimony to the blessings of angels. My eyes were unwell those days, and I had great difficulty attending gatherings through others' assistance. However, after listening to the lecture, my eyes improved, and I returned on my own. This incident is a testament to the blessings of angelic presence.

Chapter 122 Angels of Allah Then, one way is to remember Allah Almighty alone and to glorify Him aloud, which means to go and convey to people and preach to them. Both of these means are such that by adopting them, a person can establish a connection with angels. The fifth way is that reciting the Quran also establishes a connection with the angels. Therefore, the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "Where the Quran is recited, angels descend." So, remember that whatever action a person does, when he does the same action as the angels, a connection with the angels is established. The sixth way is that there was a person upon whom angels descended when he used to read, and angels also descended when others read about him. Thus, Hazrat Sahib's writings are such that when a person reads them, angels descend upon him. This is a special point that when reading Hazrat Sahib's books, points and blessings open up, and when read, special points and blessings descend. The Brahin-e-Ahmadiyya is written under special divine blessings. Regarding this, I have observed that whenever I sit down to read it, I cannot even read ten pages because new things and points of knowledge start opening up, and my mind gets engrossed in them. So, Hazrat Sahib's writings also hold special blessings. Reading them also has a special grace. It is a special grace that when I take it to read, I cannot read even ten pages because new points and blessings start opening up. It is proven in the Hadith that when I read about the virtues of the Quran, the descent of tranquility and angels when reading the Quran.

Chapter 123 Angels of Allah Obtaining blessings from the angels is a means, and through them, new knowledge unfolds. Secondly, if you read a book, you will understand the content as much as it is expressed in words. However, before reading the books of Hazrat Sahib, certain special conditions should be met. It is also evident that reciting the Quran opens up insights. Even though the mention of the conditions under which the books of Hazrat Masih Maud should be read is irrelevant to the topic I am discussing, I still mention a condition. At times, a second thing can enter when the first is removed. For example, people sitting cannot leave until someone else comes and the first person leaves. Apart from this, before reading any book of Hazrat Sahib, it is necessary to remove all thoughts from within and empty the mind completely before reading them. If someone reads them in this manner, they will acquire abundant and accurate knowledge. However, if one reads them with preconceived beliefs, the desired outcome will not be achieved. Therefore, the books of Hazrat Sahib should be read with a completely clear mind. If one does so, they will manifest many blessings prominently. The seventh way to obtain blessings from the angels is that where a special descent of angels has occurred, a person should go there. I have already mentioned that when Gabriel and angels descend upon a person, they benefit from it. Now, I want to mention that when a place is specifically visited by angels, going there also results in obtaining blessings from the angels. I have previously mentioned that when Gabriel and angels descend upon a person, sitting with them brings blessings. Now, I want to mention that when a place is specifically visited by angels, going there also results in obtaining blessings from the angels.

Chapter 124 Angels of Allah Descent occurs. Therefore, according to this rule, it is very beneficial to attend Friday congregational prayers. The Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) said that before the sermon begins, those who go to the mosque, angels write their names, and when the sermon starts, they do not write anymore. (Musnad Ahmad bin Hanbal, Volume 2, Page 239) So, attending Friday prayers regularly establishes a connection and companionship with angels, and blessings can be obtained from them. The eighth way to obtain blessings from the angels is to have a connection with the Khalifa. This is also proven from the Quran. As it is stated, "And their prophet said to them, 'Indeed, a sign of his kingship is that the chest will come to you in which is assurance from your Lord and a remnant of what the family of Moses and the family of Aaron had left, carried by the angels.'" (Al-Baqarah: 249) That at one time, people asked a Prophet to appoint a successor for them who would help them in worldly matters, but when a person was appointed for them, they were given, what is not within us, as mentioned in the Quran. The Prophet said, "Let us tell you what is not within you." And those who maintain a connection with it will be comforted by angels. It is evident that their hearts will be lifted by angels. The meaning of the chest is the heart and soul. It is said that those who have a connection with the Khalifa will receive comfort, and angels will lift their hearts. It is evident that those who have a connection with the Khalifa will receive comfort, and angels will lift their hearts. The question has been asked, and it is whether if Gabriel is always with the Messenger, then

Chapter 125 Angels of Allah Then why do they make mistakes? The answer to this question has been given by the Prophet that sometimes a person's eye is closed to certain wisdom, and there are great wisdoms in it. These are the means by which a connection with angels is strengthened, and there are some things that reduce the connection. For example, it should be noted that physical cleanliness also has a strong connection with angels. Thus, the Noble Prophet (peace be upon him) said that if a person sleeps in a state where he feels laziness and Satan bothers him, then he should blame himself. Then he said that angels also dislike those things that a person dislikes. Then he said that playing with dogs is also a hindrance to angels, and regarding images, he said that when people put up images in their homes, angels do not enter their homes. Furthermore, eating bad-smelling things like onions or not cleaning the mouth after eating or getting food particles stuck in the mouth also do not maintain a connection with angels. Under this, those who drink alcohol also came. It is impossible for those who drink alcohol to have correct inspirations. In the end, my prayer is that may Allah Almighty help us all through the angels and make us successful in what we stand for and in the teachings that have come to us, grant us the ability to establish them within ourselves and reach others. May He forgive all our mistakes and weaknesses. May He guide us on the paths of goodness and piety. In every field, may we follow the teachings of Abu Dawood, Book of Purification, Chapter of Junub Delaying Ghusl. Muwatta Imam Malik, Page 726.
